Media practitioners and other government officials are currently engaged in a two day seminar on Earthquake Readiness Capacity Building.
The Seminar, which commenced this morning, is being organized by the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency in collaboration with the Australian Government and the government of Dominica.
The organizers say the workshop will seek to familiarize national stakeholders with a draft adapted national earthquake contingency plan, as well as to review and test the same.
The seminar is being held at the Emergency Operations Centre in Jimmit and at the end, participants are expected to have an increased understanding of the draft adapted national earthquake contingency plan.
