Lead Institute student, Netritia Henry, is Dominica’s top performer in the CXC May/June 2012 Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Exams (CAPE).
Henry, a first year Business Studies major in Lead Institute’s CXC/CAPE Associate Degree programme, received grades 1 in Business Management Unit 1 and Accounting Unit 1 and grades 2 in Business Management 2 and Economics Unit 1.
An elated Henry attributed her success at this year’s exams to hard work, commitment and diligence and an outstanding programme at Lead Institute.
In recognition of her achievement, Lead Institute presented Henry with a $500 scholarship that will go towards her tuition on her second year of studies.
“It is our fervent hope that your success will motivate both prospective and continuing students to aspire to their optimum level of performance,” David Vital, Director of Lead Institute told Henry.
Local CXC Registrar Catherine Daniel noted that Henry’s performance is the best that Dominica has received in results for CAPE since it started.
Other noteworthy performances came from Sharma Lazare who secured passes in all four CAPE units taken and last year’s top performer Cathy Aubrey, excelled at all three of her CAPE Units taken.
A total of 23 private candidates wrote the CAPE Exams with 19 of the students coming from Lead Institute.
Netricia, again I say congrats. Very proud of you my friend!
WOW! Great brains accompanied by black beauty. Just plain beautiful!!!!
Assertive, NOT Agressive!
Your academic excellence is worthy of recognition. Keep pressing on to your dreams.
This is long overdue. It’s about time we had some accredited and affordable associate degrees. I always wanted to do an Associate degree but i didn’t have the kind of monies UWI charging and i wasn’t about to waste time at the DSC.
Great job guys. Count me in, I’m signing up for classes.
500.00 is a lot when you don’t have any way of getting in any case she didn’t do her exams for 500.00 she did for her self and it is just a form of motivation for her son.

Excellent performance, continue the hard work and may the Lord grant you greater success in the coming academic year.
500.00 ? What is 500.00?
stupes
You doh think a 25% scholarship is significant? Why then don’t you give the other $1,500.00 to make it a full scholarship?
Stupes
congratulation !!!!!!!
I read this and i smiled … Congrats Nets its been too long.
Doing the CAPE is the best option for any student coming from high school who does not want to struggle at DSC doing both the A-Levels and that worthless Associates.
This is so good. Please note that this year (2012) there are new recipients of the Co-operatives Societies League scholarships….Can you please see how you can bring this news across. Thanks.
