Then What ?
I am very disappointed that no mention was made by the Youth Division of the instructors who worked tirelessly to ensure that the students completed the modules taught with a high degree of excellence in order to graduate.
Hats off to all the instructors, without you there would not be a programme much less graduating students.
Congratulations to all the graduating students. This is just the beginning; put what you have learnt into practice.
I am disappointed in you as a friend of youth division you should know that they use instructors and tutors interchangeably. I am certain that gratitude was expressed to all tutors so do not spread propaganda and discredit the people graduation. You know better than that…Congratulation guys! This was a n excellent graduation.
Yes, they do but the point is appreciation must always be shown to the instructors generally. Students are graduating, therefore mention should be made of the persons who taught them. that is my point.
Disappointed sounds like a disgruntled instructor looking for praise and attention. You should have bought yourself a gift and ask one of the graduates you taught to present it to you on stage. Thanks to Ms Peters and Alexander. You were great tutors. Thanks to the Youth Division and our Social Skills tutor Ms Remie. Ilove you All keep up the good work
Congrats to these young men and women… I am a past graduate and i did me a world of good…
keep striving my young people
they can be their own boss. start a small business, make use of the credit unions and the banks.
this program is better than any school in d/ca…. they should add money management and understanding gold/silver and real estate to it or at an extra cost…. and i’m a college graduate… things was so tight.. i used the program as a spring board to send me in the job market on attachment… a month after my attachment i was fully employed…. congrats to miss…. oh i forgot her name.. the dark slim lady with a lovely smile, she used to have a double cab van… she is doing a great job together with everyone involved… if u out of school and unemployed… ignore the fact u can do excel etc…. ignore the fact that you are ‘learnt’ already… just give it a try… in face you’ll be at an advantage to excel anyway since u are bright… then you’ll go on attachment… people have gone to royal bank… roseau credit union… now the n.c.c.u and elsewhere on that program so is not a joke….
YES THEY GRADUATING BUT YAH THEN WHAT?
Then they are more MARKETABLE!!!
No one put a job for you but if you have the necessary pre-requisition such as skill training then you good to go!!!!!
I sometimes wonder about you people, is as if everywhere else in the world is better than us, only Dominica has challenges…. I mean come on guys!!!!
Congrats to the 329 youth graduating today, please use your skills for your own economic betterment and ignore idiots who wants you to believe someone owes you a job!!!!!
When you do get an engagement do it well ignore the pay for now just build your reputation and you will get lots of work!!!
Well congratulations to those young persons graduating today! I am a proud young individual who have benefited frm the youth skills training program! I am living and workin abroad but I was trained as an open water-(dive master ) scuba diver in Dominica. A program tht was put on by the youth skills and other institutions, and I’m thankful, bcas am ripping the benefits! I hope more young ppl r encouraged to get better educated, improve on their skills, better improve themselves, instead of idealin around! Blessings to all those tht made it possible for there to be a graduation today!
congrats all…..good programme and easy access too….
Congrats to all of the Youths you aspire for better inspite of all the negatives around them
yes they graduate but what avenue do they have if there is no job for them
366 of the 591 graduates who were surveyed are employed. They were trained between March 15,2009 to Dec 17 2010.Among those who were surveyed are the adults who attended the computer module for other reasons than employment. The employment rate was greater than 50% in every district.
