congrats to all those who have passed: scholars, bursars, and the those who just passed. To those who did not get bursaries and scholars remember that you have your parents scholarships and that you need to work just as hard. All the best.

Congrats to the students…yeah they got the top places but that’s all. I think too, we must focus on the overall performance of the schools not just one or two students. In a particular school, students in one class perform and concentrated on while the other classes students are ignored or not motivated to perform as the others in the ones.
It must be noted that the top performing schools are Concord with three entries, Pioneer Preparatory School with sixteen entries, Lighthouse Christian Academy with three entries, Convent Preparatory School with forty-three entries.
These are the schools that should be congratulated not the ones noted for having only three top students….

    My personal opinion.

That is true but we still have to congratulate the individual students as well. Congrats girls and congrats St Martin’s School. Don’t be a hater :)

The students are screened from Grade one. at St.Martin’s Primary; by doing this the parents are aware of their children’s potential so they have to put in the extra as well.. Dont expect the teachers to do it all.. Parents please PUSH your children. Scholarships and bursaries dont come by miracles.

That may be true but measure their performance against the total number of entrants at the exams and you get a different picture

I wish you would explain the top performing school. I did not quite understand.
“It must be noted that the top performing schools are Concord with three entries, Pioneer Preparatory School with sixteen entries, Lighthouse Christian Academy with three entries, Convent Preparatory School with forty-three entries.

ummm i believe Lighthouse Christian Academy had six (6) entries and not 3 like you stated get your facts straightened out.
p.s all you had to say was congratulations or nothing at all.

    June 27, 2014

Congratulations to all, but it would be nice to do some statistics as to the number of students from each school and the percentages of scholarships and bursaries.

Very interesting then we can have a clearer picture of the performances. Again congrats to the top students.

      June 27, 2014

scholarships and bursaries are not the only yardstick to measure good performance. once the students passed very high together with the tops then the school has done well.
