I may not have liked teaching at ITSS but i can boldly state that the teachers are hard working.. unit and scheme of work are taken seriuosly comaored to the pther schools where I taught.
being aware that some of these students have alot of challenges compared to students from the Roseau district I must admit that the teachers make every effort to ensure that they learn. The English Dpt (teachers) was not my favourite but they do an excellent job. I admire how the teachers work and even if i never said that in person but the TRUTH BE TOLD. congrtas ITSS students, staff, and principal.

Hello DNO. I couldnot help notice that you wrote all the schools names who did well in cxc. You provided your readers with the proper names of the schools, so they would have the correct information, but i happen to notice a school which highlighted as NEC. In my opinion i cosidered this a bias. NEC is an acrononym. Kindly, write the full name of the school so all your readers could have a clear understanding, withouth having to ask what is NEC. You wrote the names of all the other schools why not write it for NEC. I would really like to know the rationale of the editor for the abreviation of only one school.

thats not fear i got 1o ones and 3twos they did not call my name whats up thats not right!!!! where do i come in.

    • cobweb
      August 18, 2011

Sorry to say, but if you got 10 ones and 3 twos and your name is not mentioned, then you must have been one of those who changed grades on the website. All those who got 8 ones and above got mentioned, why not you? Something is fishy there.

  39. Anonymous
    August 17, 2011

Wow. ebeh look ones! In my time in 89 there was no such thing as 8 ones. I got three ones and I got a scholarship. Are students getting smarter or they more familiar with the test since it has been given over a longer period. In comparison to those results we seem dumb :) but yet, it seems some of us were pretty smart.
Congratulations! Hard work always pays off. Keep moving on to higher heights. Continue to make Dominica, yourself, and parents proud.

      August 18, 2011

I have to agree with you. Ones were not easy to come by!! You had to really struggle to get ones and twos and threes were not passess then either. I hope the change is for the better, but I have to say the quality of students who graduate is far less exemplary to 15 or so years ago. So while I congratualte them, I am also concerned about the soundness of the education they are receiving, these days. There are many variables that cen be looked at. Maybe CXC is watered down for starters.

Jasmine, Deanie, Lenon we are SO proud of you guys! You have done EXCEPTIONALLY well in your exams… we also remember people like Jakim, Candice and Bethanie. Your grades were ALL outstanding and yours is a clear example of SEED – TIME & HARVEST. The necessary investmentments were made in your education from all angles; parents, teachers, yourself and that seed was left to germinate whilst we watered it with prayer, encouragement, thanks giving, deligent action, faith and all of that good stuff over the PASSAGE OF TIME and guess what we are now experiencing a BOUNTIFUL HARVEST! Congrates to all the students on this beautiful island who were successful, those who have little to celebrate at this time I encourage you with this; THERE IS ALWAYS ROOM FOR A COME BACK, believe in yourselves and develop a plan of action to take you through to your destiny…..SEEE YOU GUYS AT THE TOP… DO NOT STOP NOW!!!!! Glory to God for the wonderful things he has done!
