All is set for the first ever Woodfordhill Reunion organizers have said.
The reunion will be celebrated from July 10 to July 19 at the Reunion Village in Woodford Hill.
One of the highlights of the event is a pageant dubbed, “Miss Wooty Reunion 2015 Queen Pageant” to be held on July 11.
Coordinator for that show, Tykasha Bazil, told Dominica News Online (DNO) on Wednesday that six vibrant ladies will vie for the title.
They are Nicolette Bruno, Shelly-Ann Dejean, Sherale Wright, Latoya Anthony, Kelly-Ann Moses and Brendelle Benjamin.
She said the young ladies will compete in the following: an introductory round, an oldie goldies round, a costume round, followed by talent, swim wear, evening wear segment and question & answer.
Bazil said the contestants have been working hard to put on a good show.
“I coordinate with them, we do group practices, we have workshops with them…,” she stated. “They are really forming a bond among themselves.”
Tickets for the show cost $20 for adults, $15 for teenagers and $5.00 for children.
Meantime President of the Woodfordhill Reunion group; Savina Bazil, is urging the public to come on board to support the activities.
“We are well on board and asking everybody to be on board with us,” she said. “Friends of the Diaspora who wish to come down are all welcome, accommodations are there for them. If you watch our line-up of activities it is well taken care of, every frail of persons in every entertainment area there is something for you.”
Woodfordhill Reunion 2015 will be celebrated under the theme “Promoting love and unity for a better community”.
