Swimwear should be left out or repace with something less revealing, Child preditors will look at this and all they will think about is how to find their way to Salybia. We live in a vicious world people, please do all we can to keep the children safe.

You have a point it is not Dominican people alone we have to think of – there are people out there scouting the world to find prey.

I agree that they should leave out the swimwear or beachwear portion for school children. “Let the children be children”. No point in exposing these kids as potential playthings to the minds of whosoever is watching. The older heads should have the responsibility of guiding and protecting them. We seem to have lost our way and need guidance ourselves.

Concerning the race preservation issue. Isn’t it too late for that? Most of us are already made up of Arawaks, Kalinagoes, Caucasians and negroes, Granted, there are more of the first two in the girls on display in the pictures. With such small numbers of ‘purebreeds’ left, tf we are to restrict ourselves to ourselves in finding partners we would soon be plagued by the negative aspects of inbreeding. That itself could sooner wipe out the race by increased levels of mortality and morbidity than if out genes were mixed and strengthened by another race.

Thanks to the public for making the show a huge success!

Special thanks to the contestants and the sponsors, without you there would be no show!

BIG THANK YOU to Mr. Merrick Andrews and his D.N.O team, the Salybia Primary School looks forward to your continued support!

    God Bless!!

I must certainly agree! The organizer tired something to attract patrons to the show. They may want to take that into consideration next year, and maybe introduce a futuristic school uniform segment.

That’s a good suggestion we will consider next time.. Thanks

You are welcome! The futuristic School uniform could be seen as a fun round, allowing the contestants to design or have an input into that round, it maybe similar to spectacular wear but looks like a UNIFORM.

True that and leave out the swimwear – I think it is inappropriate for the age group.

another reason why,,, the kalinago peeps must try to preserve their race by marrying and have children with other kalinagoes,,,, these are very beautiful people,,,

The swimwear element should not be included as part of a competition for teenagers. Certainly not bikinis

They appeared in “Beach Wear” not “Swim Suit”.. There’s a difference..

        March 7, 2011

It still shouldn’t be included.think you missing the point here. Especially with one little girl missing on the island

Did that stop the National Teen Pageant from doing what they had to do??

On Carnival Monday and Tuesday young ladies will be seen with much more revealing outfits! This has nothing to do with “one teen missing”.. Life goes on! (No hard feelings)

Strongly agree with this statement. At least a spark of morality still exists in our land, just a spark. Now satan loves to make their sins fair seeming to them, so this other commentor says, it’s not bikini, it’s swimsuit…this is the twists he puts on things. Instead people abhor fornication they say common law, love life, girlfriend, boyfriend etc. Homosexual filth is called ‘alternative lifestyle,’ people who are opposed to homosexuality are called homophobic lol. So homosexuality is seen as good. Adultery is seen as having an affair etc. People are coming to realise the truth don’t worry. No matter the evil and spin they put on Islam it will always be victorious in sha Allah.

You know what? You all think that every grown man thinks like how u all think: because Dca has been fortunate to not have pedophiles in action or many of them u all take it for granted. That’s how I know u all got no idea what’s goiing on in this world.

I agree though with Muslim Always here. What he says is true about excuses. Let us forget his religion and look at the message here .. I agree with him. Yes the ‘Evil One” makes sins far seeming to those who indulge and there are always ‘excuses’ and new names to the sins that the Creator condemns.
