Digital Vybez , Petite Savanne’s own home-grown Band, created a fashion hot spot in the south East of Dominica over the weekend with the hosting of its Fifth Anniversary Jam, which according to the band’s management is air marked to become an annual event.
Presented under the brand Yellow Fest, Dominican entertainment profilers have already rated the event as a successful one and according to many the activity held on Friday 30th September was well received by persons who attended .
The weekend event kicked off with a highly energised and dynamic performance from a combination of Canefield and Goodwill Musicians on a rise, Reality Music Crew, popularly known on the island as RMC Outta and the ever popular Xs Groove who are more commonly known from the city countryside area of Morne Prosper, who according to our sources are following suite and taking the approach of Digital Vybez in giving its community a similar Type event in the days ahead. The band climaxed the night by taking the event into what many Dominican party goers call an easy ‘Day Break’.
For many the event which was the first of its kind for any southern community took over the Petite Savanne roadway, attracting well over 600 Entertainment-hungry patrons from across the country with full Support of the state’s police apparatus and went without any surge of grievance or aggression and based on what we found out, even some event Promoters from some top local shows and the cameras of event Sponsor Party Dominica could be spotted on the site of the weekends hottest event in Dominica .
Entry to the Kubuli Beer, Party Dominica and Digicel headlined event was completely free with patrons simply needed to attend brandishing their yellow accessories and clothing which could have either come from outside of the island or purchased right there from some patriotic Dominican Clothing Store ‘s Such as Philomena’s and Jaydees Specialty.
On the harder side of things every Dominican who attended were seen brandingthe ever popular Ralph Lauren Polo along with a can of Kubuli Gold in their hand and some a mix of Black Label on the Rocks. By this the launch of Petite Savanne as the official yellow city of Dominica may have very well been something for every Dominican to attend, and for those who missed according to word on the country’s most popular entertainment show “ he Buzz” “one should never miss out on a countryside party” and as such all can already begin to make plans for next year’s event.
