
Reigning Miss Dominica, Odessa Elie, has captured the second runner-up position in the Miss Jaycees Caribbean Pageant held at Carnival City in Antigua on Sunday.
The Dominican beauty also won the award for best interview after competing among 10 other contestants from the Caribbean region.
For the first time the Miss Jaycees crown went to the island of Monsterrat with Sharissa Ryan emerging as winner.
She copped the awards for Best Performing Talent.
Miss Antigua and Barbuda, Asha Frank captured the first runner-up title and received the award for Best Evening Wear.
Miss Barbados Zhane Padmore won the award for Best Swimwear, Tishima Browne of St Kitts and Nevis received the Miss Photogenic Award, while Miss United States Virgin Islands, Brittany Robinson won the Miss Congeniality Award.
Other contestants include; Jaynene Jno of the British Virgin Islands, St Marteen represented by Carlishia Phillips, Licia Jn Paul represented St Lucia, The St Vincent and the Grenadines delegate was Vickeich Charles, while Afeya Jeffery represented Trinidad and Tobago.
The theme for this year’s show was “Be Creative, Dynamic, Amazing.”
Last year’s winner was Miss Kaeve Armstrong of St Kitts and Nevis.
The Jaycees Queen Show is a pageant put on by JCI Antigua yearly and it is in its 54th year.
Congratulations. Ms. Dominica’s talent is a replica of previous Jaycees and other pageant talents….it will not go too far this time around.
