My Prime Minister once said “All the sexy girls are with Labour”! And guess what? It’s true. Take a look

As an outsider, I am absolutely dumbfounded on the plethora of beauty pageants on this small island.
Instead of focusing on subjective beauty, why not encourage independence from the shackles of Eurocentric beauty and look within instead.
Right now we have these futile pageants, where money is being made from a lethargic economy and where the focus is on beauty instead of intelligence. #ijs

the models are great but the the one who is all in red is the sweetest . My point in that we need some more girls of colour ( i mean some dark skinned girls) in the show, after all it appears that Dominicas majority are as we say light skinned or maybe the coloured girls are not cut for that ? just thinking.

Check those same girls out after the show when the cake of makeup wash out. Their color will come back then.

Thirty years ago, my dissatisfaction with regional beauty contests that favoured straightened hair, lightened skin tones and disguised facial features, I worked on a series of paintings and sculptures that extolled the natural beauty of the Afro-Caribbean woman.

To this day, from my studio at Antrim Valley, my work continues on the same theme.

Please share some data with us:
Has any of the previous winners gotten any gainful employment in that arena?
Any profits go towards- ” Educating young women” etcc..
Is this Augustine person the sole profiteer in this undertaking?
