Dominica to host music video workshop

camera light actionThe Discover Dominica Authority through the Dominica Film Office in association with The Audiovisual Association of Dominica (AAD) will be conducting a workshop for persons involved in the Audio Visual Sector.

The workshop entitled – Music Video Production will run for three weeks, August 19 – September 6, 2013, from 4:30 – 7:30pm, at the Public Service Training Center on Dame Eugenia Boulevard in Roseau.

Areas that will be covered in the workshop include:
o    Overview of the Music Video and Music Video Production
o    From Song to Script
o    Story Boarding
o    Location selection and contraction
o    Copyright
o    Casting
o    Production
o    Editing
o    Synchronization and
o    Color Correction

The workshop will be conducted by experienced Trainer, Filmmaker, and Editor, Oriel Rodriguez, from the International School of Film and Television in Cuba.

The goal of this workshop is two-fold.  Firstly, it is to improve the skills of videographers in production, and specifically music video production; and secondly to produce music videos for four Dominican artistes that can be used for marketing the artiste and their music, locally, regionally and internationally.

Persons who are interested in attending this workshop are being asked to register immediately as space is limited.  Registration will take place at the Offices of the Discover Dominica Authority, 1st Floor of the Financial Center on Kennedy Avenue or at the Dominica Coalition of Services Industries on Hanover Street.

There will is a registration fee of $100.00.
