The Dream Team led by writer and assistant director Peter Panthier and director Daniel Leslie; presents yet another thought provoking, fun-filled and uplifting theatrical production at the Arawak House of Culture this weekend.
This is the group’s 10th production.
The lead actors Kimran Jean Jacques, Kalvin Deravarier and Dynelle LeBlanc will continue to keep the audience’s focus glued to the stage in awe and anticipation as they ply their craft. Previous plays left the crowd gripping their stomachs in laughter, as the actors lit up the stage with humour. This production is even more exciting, so ensure that you don’t miss out.
The group’s latest play: ‘The Love of Money Part II’ is a sequel to The Love of Money, which invited the audience to get a first-hand’s view of what goes on in the life of Jackson Michaelson (played by Kimran Jean Jacques); who is a young man in love with money and the idea of gaining quick and easy riches. The Love of Money takes its audience through a whirlwind of drama and excitement, ending with the arrest of Jackson.
Both Jackson and his immediate family are faced with new challenges when Jackson is placed in prison. His wife, having never worked before, is faced with the difficulties of providing for her family on a single income; while Jackson is forced to adjust to his new life in prison. In prison Jackson meets various characters, with completely different lifestyles and values. He is once again put to the ultimate test and will experience many other trying situations.
What will happen when Jackson goes to jail? What kind of people will he meet there? How will his incarceration affect his wife, and child? Will he change completely for the worst? Will his friends and family turn their backs on him? There’s only one way to find out.
The play dubbed, ‘The Love of Money II’ will be held at the Arawak House of Culture from 8 o’clock nightly on August 5th -7th. Tickets cost $10 for children and $20 for adults.
