Festival Jam Session # 4 is on today

wcmf-screenshotThe World Creole Music Festival Jam Session number 4 is on. The event will take place at the Bayfront on Friday, September 30, 2016 from 4 pm to 10 pm.

The highlight of this week’s Festival Jam Session will be a soft launch of Mas Domnik 2017. Miss Dominica 2017 contestants will sign their contracts during the event.

Patrons will also get a glimpse of carnival costumes on offer for Mas Domnik 2017. Entertainment will be provided by the Infinite Nation Band and the First Serenade Band.

World Creole Music Festival partners Kubuli and Digicel will be on board with the usual promotions and specials. A mini masquerade and La Peau Kabwit will also create the festive hype this weekend.

World Creole Music Festival season tickets will be on sale for only $250 per ticket. This special will be valid until October 7, 2016. Festival patrons should not miss this offer!

The 19th edition of the World Creole Music Festival is slated for October 28-30, 2016 at the Windsor Park Stadium in Roseau, the Dominican capital. A line-up of top regional and international acts covering a diverse range of creole music from the infectious Bouyon to the sweet sensation of Soca, Calypso, Reggae, Afro-beat, Haitian Kompa to the vibrating sounds of Cadence-lypso and Zouk awaits patrons. The main headliners of this year’s festival include Dominica’s Lady of Song Ophelia, Dominica’s song-bird Michele Henderson, Kreyol La, Dédé St. Prix, Haitian international super-star Wyclef Jean, T-Micky, African pop sensation Akon, Timaya, reggae star Popcaan, Morgan Heritage, Gentleman, Soca group Kes The Band, along with Dominican bands WCK, Triple Kay Global, Original Bouyon Pioneers, Extasy, Breve, Midnight Groovers and Bouyon Ambassador Asa Banton.
