Five to vie for title of Miss Wob Dwiyet USA

Five young ladies from Dominica, who resides in the US, will vie for the title of Miss Wob Dwiyet USA on October 17, 2015 at the Italian American Hall in New Jersey.

They are Colette Ambo of Salisbury, Nakeisha Joseph of Wesley, Allison Peltier of Pointe Michel, Lucia Jeffrey of Colihaut and Nina Edwards of Wesley.

The contestants resides in various parts of the US including Bronx, Queens, New Jersey, Boston and Connecticut.

They will compete in four segments: Introduction, Talent, Wob Dwiyet Wear and Interview.

The contestants were launched on September 4 and they all represented the competition at the Labour Day Parade in New York on September 7.

DNO understands that the proceeds from the pageant will go towards relief in Dominica.

Tickets for the pageant cost $40 in advance for adults and $20 for children. Door price will be $45.00 for adults and $25 for children.

This year the Dominica Emerald Organization of New Jersey marks its 14th year as founder and Host of the Madam Wob Dwiyet U.S.A. Pageant.

The reigning Miss Wob Dwiyet USA is Zadshire Dupuis.

    It is a great cultural show. I remembered years ago
    when I attended. A lot has changed since, but I hope the Deonj
    will return to the great vision the founding members Ann Timothy, Mr Joseph and Mr Hill had for the organization.
