Eight students from primary schools around the island have been selected to compete in the 2013 Carnival Princess show.
The show is hosted by the Rotaract club of Roseau and is slated for January 20, 2013 at the Harlem Plaza.
Adicia Burton of the Salibia Primary school captured the crown in 2012.

Delice girl is very graceful, only the lip stick for make up, that is grate. Background, hair, fantastic.
By looking at the first picture I could tell something was not right but by the second one with the pink lipstick I got it. I thought I was being a bit hard in my thinking, but reading the comments I tend to agree with some of them. The children are cute, no doubt, but we are sending mixed messages. Hair braided with bows and clips with pink lipstick. The hair do’s and jewelry do not say children or princesses. Please, let children be children. On person had it right,a group picture would have been better. Come on organisers, you all can do better. I am not criticising the girls just calling a spade a spade as I see it.

They are beautiful indeed. I agree that it’s a bitmuch for princess show, before it used to be little girls looking like little girls in party dresses. Why people want to dress up little girls like little women beats me. This is not being negative it is true and it is something we have to be mindful of.
Can’t believe the negativity…they are all beautiful and properly attired…. the little makeup is fine….hello don’t you remember dressing up as a kid????? Let’s just support them and wish them the best. Its a half an hour drive to town from Castle Bruce. As for the location of the show, we do not know if the venue is sponsored by the owner…. A drive to Roseau from CB is not that hard, people will come and support their own, doh hurt your head.
The Castle bruce one looks very cute, thats a pricess with clips i just love that it fits her age. Thas a real princess. Good job mammy keep the clips and ribbons.
Why the grandbay student have false hair, that is the only thing i did not like to see. such a young little princess pretty very, yet shes being taught to not appreciate what she have a black hair and be proud parents be VERY CAREFUL. not evverything we as adults do we need to pass on to our young ones especially at a tender age.

Before even seeing the childs name or where she was from I imediately thought…..Grandbay! Check out the jewelry and the hair piece! Seriouly she looks cliche. She’s a beautiful little princess nonetheless.

i wonder if they,ll be unfair to the children like last year. i hope they get good judges and not friends of the participants people to come judge because they come with their princess in mind.. i don,t believe schools from the rural areas should take part in this competition.. leave dem roseau pple ting for dem…

This is a princess show with children. There should be a stipulation; no make up and no false hair. Let the children be children.

If you are introducing a group of girl for a pageant then you should have had a group picture on the front instead of an individual. This may be seen by the fans of the other girls as bias.
With that said ALL of the contestants are beautiful. I hope you girls have a great show and gain from such an experience.
