Janet Azzouz− ‘De Angel’− has a special treat for fans at home and in the region.
The Dominican songstress has released two sizzling hot new singles for Carnival 2016 — ‘The Real Sewo’ on the RX7 Riddim and ‘Heating up de Place’ on the LOUD Riddim.
‘Heating up de Place’ is a catchy soca number with an infectious hook, perfect for a carnival jump-up.
And the bouyon-soca piece, ‘De Real Sewo’ deserves to be played on giant speakers!
Janet wrote the lyrics and teamed up with Krisha ‘Dada’ Lawrence of Cotton Grove Studio to produce the songs featuring his pulsating Dominican riddims which have been making significant inroads overseas.
These two latest releases follow closely on the heels of her Cadence-lypso piece ‘Beat of my Heart’, which came out late last year.
Janet revealed that her latest singles will all be included on her next album, which is carded to be released by Summer this year.
She released her last album −‘Reloaded’ −in 2014, which followed ‘Celebrate’ in 2013.
“Dada and I have been working together for almost three years and the collaboration is getting better and better . . . that’s why we are now going for the soca market,” Janet explained.

lovely songs.
Great new songs by an evergreen artiste– solid vocals, slick musical arrangement and cool promo-pix. This is bound to make a lot of people jealous. I really hope Janet’s fine work doesn’t cause some hideous, untalented moron to swell with envy and seek to spew it. Uh-oh! . . too late, too late the hero.
what nonsense is this.. Oh lord.. she looks a mess
love it !
“For Carnival?” I thought it was a Gospel song wi!!!! Maybe I mistook her for somebody else. Beg pardon….
Talent or no talent, one thing I must give the lady. She is persistent. Keep it up.
She has a nice heart too.
Great work!
