After claiming victory at the first ever Miss Dominica Caribbean Talented Teen competition on August 29th at the Arawak House of Culture, Jasmine Laville will be representing Dominica at the Digicel Haynes Smith Miss Caribbean Talented Teen Pageant Show.

The show will take place on December 30th at the Sugar Mill in Warner Park, St. Kitts and list of those taking part in the contest was confirmed on Tuesday.

Laville will be competing against ten other contestants from around the region.

Chairman and Executive Producer of the Pageant, Antonio ‘Director’ Maynard, said the pageant’s organising committee is working hard to maintain the show’s extremely high standard and further enhance its status as one of the most anticipated, exciting and prestigious pageants in the Caribbean.

“Plans are progressing perfectly and this event continues to be the most popular and prestigious event of its kind in the Caribbean and we intend to keep it that way,” he said.

The name of the special guest host and guest artiste will be announced shortly Marketing and Guest Artiste Coordinator of the show, Wallis Wilkin said.

“As always you can expect another great performer this year and an even greater stage show and production,” Walkin noted.

The show began in 1980 and is the first show of its kind in the region that showcases the talents of female Caribbean teenagers.

Laville in an interview with Dominica News Online following her victory at the local pageant said, “It is an honor for me at my age to be representing my country at this competition and I know that I will do my best. Jasmine, good luck. As far as I remember St. Kitts has carnival celebrations at New Year’s. This should be an excellent time to be there.
