Seven beautiful ladies from across the island will take to the stage to vie for the coveted title of Miss Dominica 2015 at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium on Friday night.
The contestants are Normanna Jno Baptiste, 24 from Tarish Pit, Keianna John, 22 of Salisbury, Odessa Elie, 19 from Bath Estate, Beyandra Blanchard from Point Michel, Charis Nation, 20 from Castle Bruce, Patrice Dorsette, 20 from Marigot and Kelcia Righton, 21 from Kingshill.
They will compete in five segments: Costume, Talent, Swim Wear, Evening Wear and Question & Answer.
Member of the pageant’s organizing committee, Ferdina Frampton told Dominica News Online on Friday that the young ladies are very talented and “are ready for tonight.”
She encourages persons to turn out in large numbers to support the contestants.
Frampton also revealed that a former Miss Dominica is expected to be the MC at tonight’s big event.
According to her, the theme for the show is “Diamonds are Forever” and a few former Miss Dominica contestants will be playing roles of ‘Pageant Diamonds’.
Tickets cost $75.00, sitting and $40.00, standing.
They are available at DEPEX Color Lab and Bullseye Pharmacy.
The show is expected to begin at 8:00 pm and is presented by headline sponsor LIME, the Government of Dominica and Discover Dominica Authority (DDA).
The reigning Miss Dominica is Francine Tiffany Baron of Grandbay.

I stayed up for the Miss . Dominica show and I was very proud of all the young ladies I would like them to know they were all winners, I thought that it would be between Odessa and Patrice but in the question and answer segment Patrice responses were very disappointing and I have to agree with the person who sent in the text she gave the crown over to Odessa because all the questions are every day topics Odessa was just very good in that segment , But the Committee have to do something in order to improve that part of the show they were very intelligent ladies but fell flat with their answers..
Odessa opening up to the other contestants is very good these young ladies now have to go and start working on their different platforms in their communities.

Congrats to you Odessa …..I feel bad for our young people who are so un-informed . Contestants couldn’t answer simple day-to-day questions . I can understand anxiety can contribute , but much of it had to do with lack of reading and personally informing self . Young people instead of the watsapp , face booking , instagram , Skype etc , take time out to know what’s happening not only in your country , but the world around you .
Sometimes they take those young girls out of no where and put them in the midst of this rat race without anyone to guide or coach them, them ask them questions which they are un-prepared to answer, and yes nerves has a lot to do with it also.
Congrats Patrice, you should have gotten best in talent , but you have done Marigot proud. You are still our NO 1 queen. Good luck in the future. GBU.
