Miss Dominica, Francine Baron, has captured the second runner-up position in the 53rd Jaycees Queen competition. The event was held at Carnival City in Antigua on Friday night.
Kaeve Armstrong of St Kitts/Nevis won the competition. Antigua & Barbuda’s Heidigail Francis copped the 1st runner-up spot.
Armstrong was declared overall winner from a field of 12 delegates who competed in Swimwear, Evening Wear and Talent segments. The five top performers in those categories then competed in the final segment, Interview.
Armstrong won best talent and Miss Antigua secured the award for best modelling skills. The best interview segment was won by Miss St Vincent & The Grenadines’ Karla Gillezeau.
Miss Dominica copped the most photogenic award and Haiti’s representative, Gaelle Cazeau, captured the Most Congenial award.
The Jaycees Queen competition is held annually as part of Antigua & Barbuda’s Carnival celebrations.

I was thinking the same thing. I looked at Naked and Afraid – wonderful show.
Not a hater – and I repeat, not a hater – but Ms Baron should have known that Ms Armstrong would be coming hard for the Jaycees’ pageant. St Kitts was pretty convinced that the Ms Carival crown was theirs hands-down…guess they’re elated now. Nonetheless, congrats Ms Baron!
I listened to the show and by far my only issue was in Ms. Dominica’s Talent with the back track singing over Michele vocals but my far she should have won that show hence getting best response to question. Anyways puss you did us proud all the way today in nevis..
I thought her talent was where she lost points too. She did well but I think if she had chosen another talent she would have won all these crown. When she sang at the St. Marteen show I was sure she wasn’t going to win becuase the other ladies had way better talent and that talent carries alot of points. I support our Queen 100% and I think she represented well but if she’s going for the “Miss World” title she have to come up with a stronger talent…
