Miss Dominica and Miss Caribbean World 2010 Marcia Baptiste secured a spot in the top three position at the Miss Carival Pageant in St. Vincent this morning.
Baptiste, who walked away with the Miss Congeniality, Best Swimwear and Best Evening Wear Awards, won second runner-up.
The scores went in the favour of Miss St. Lucia Iva Satney. Satney, the Best Talent Award recipient, will enjoy the Miss Carival title for a year.
Miss St Kitts & Nevis, Sudeakka Francis won the first runner-up spot and Miss Anguilla, Sangrena Harris secured the third runner-up spot.
Other awards distributed were:
Best Interview – Miss British Virgin Islands, Jasmine Perez
Most Community Spirited Award – Miss Anguilla, Sangrena Harris
Miss Photogenic – Miss Antigua & Barbuda, Shelana George
The other contestants were Joane Daniele Lirus (Martinique), Keda Lou-Ann Pascal (Trinidad & Tobago) and Lucia Di Matteo Cacua (Venezuela).

I listened to the show on radio from St. Lucia. A little advise ;..even if you feel a bit nervous remember that all the other girls are just as nervous. I liked that you focused on Diabetes a problem that we can identify with all over the region. You need to get familiar with as much as you can about the disease.
Make your answer to the point, get one winning point and say it boldly and with confidence. I think the answer section is what brought you down a bit last night. But overall you were great.
