The 2014 Giraudel/Eggleston Flower Show, a national festival celebrating the floriculture industry and highlighting the art of large-scale cut flower arrangement, opened on Saturday. The show, which was first held in 1973, has been in hiatus for the past nine years due mainly to the lack of a proper venue to host. In February, a newly constructed venue that will house the show was officially opened.

I would advise that this be done every other year. This will enable a greater display of flowers like there was on display last year.
Why every other year. Flowers have their season every year, As long as they are nurtured towards their time of blooming, there won’t be less or there won’t be more at that season.
And May is the month of flowers–as the quote says: “April showers bring May flowers”. Maybe later in May the blooms would be much more in quantity and variety.
Beautiful. This is saying it with flowers. If I recall, there was one last year.
Beautiful! Except for that creepy animal–the lizard?
Also, it would be great to see a few more human faces with the photos
I purposely tried to avoid capturing people because I planned to post the photos on the Internet.
As to the lizard, many people like them.

Rich culture. Beautiful Dominica.
