Portsmouth hairstylist Hannah Peter took top honours at the Hairlectra Jungle Fever event held Friday evening at the Old Mill Cultural Centre.
First and second place went to the designs done by Nikkita Chasseau.
Round one of the competition was titled ‘Forever Young.’ There was a dance done by Marlon of Waitikubuli Dance Theatre Dancers and also a presentation by Dons & Divas with the Trendy’s Dreadlocks Natural Hairbraiding and Nails Salon models dressed in clothing from the Dons & Divas store. Valdie De Jean also did a dance presentation.
There was an entertaining skit involving a hair dresser which was a real crowd pleaser. The second round round of the competition was themed ‘Hair.’
Overall the show had a good attendance, it was well organised and entertaining.

The show was excellent.. DOminica has soo much talent… I enjoyed every second of it… your m. c s were great!!!! was impressed when ur female m.c came out to interact with the crowd in her heels in the rain.. it was funny… entertaining.. great job guys and to the young lady who won, congrats… btw when is the next show?? money was well spent!!
if u were there u woullda known that they were 4 ft from da stage…and if u know so much then u should have cum up n volunteer to assist natalie…it is just lyk u da critic to motivate persons like me to keep dem coming good ,cuz u cannot bring it!boo
paloma wat is ur problem , girl we neady get a stroke wen u came out, my favorite round obviously was hairlectra, but overall the show was better than the last time by far. i thinking of wearing some of the hairstyles, but d one palo had i will live it for her papa, lol. she was looking to sick in that. i tell u that girl have talent , i doe now why d woman just in dominica wasting dat.
NATALIE the show was money worth spending.
congrats to the winner and the contestant because they also had great stuff. for instance the young lady who came out first with autumn was very creative , her four seasons were perfect, continue doing a great job. nikita that was great

congrats to Hannah, but that is expected she is the daughter of Frances, first and best hairstylist in possie. Frances was the first person I know to braid and weave hair in the town and she won every modelling competition she ever took part in. Big up ladies, you are great!

tha show was perfect nothing was not missing except for that female mc. anyways wen hairlectra round came out i got goose BUMPS. that young lady came out in the bushes right where i was sitting and i did no she was there. that was just unreal!!!!
tha hair style that she had really look like it was her hair that was braided to make that mo hork.
NATALIE, u really have talent and does place the right pple to showcase it for you and there talent as well, because that young lady looked like she lived in the jungle along with her body movements.

you know how to find talent, the winner has real talent. train her well to keep hair styling out there.the judges were not blind they saw talent and judged it.
“Big Size!” I am soo proud of you girls it’s ridiculous. You went there and did your thing and came out victorious.Dyjo and MagicTrick did there thing and after looking at the photos I can tell the show was super-fantastic.
Again im very proud of your performance, very meritorious type stuff.

Hairlectra 2010 was off the hook….I made it just in time to catch the start…. Nats grl!… Excellent show…(minus your m.c. ms. J.L) Who missed it really missed something. Keep up the good work natalie. For my first time…I was impressed

congratulations to ‘les femmes prestige’ your team did an awesome job…this is real talent showcased…keep the surprises coming.
The judges were much too far from the stage to judge the hairstyles, next time let the judges see the hairstyles so that they can judge them. I think that they judged a model contest and not hairstyles.
That was wonderful, very creative and very innovative. Congratulations to the designers.
