The search to discover Dominica’s newest singing talent will officially commence on Monday evening at the Flamboyant Hotel when sixty singers perform at the closed auditions of the 4th annual Q Talent Search competition.
Speaking at the official launch of the competition, Co-ordinator, Jael Joseph, said Q Talent Search provides an avenue for persons with talent to get discovered.
After the closed auditions, 32 singers will move on to the quarter final carded for 27th July at Harlem Plaza.
Royal Bank of Canada Dominica Branch Manager, Armour Johnson, said this year’s competition will give another individual an opportunity to perform in front of a crowd and develop the confidence which they may never have had.
Royal Bank of Canada is one of the sponsors of the event.
“The program allows our youth to find themselves and gives them an opportunity during a time when they are bombarded by so many negative influences,” he said.
The final of the QTS competition is expected to take place on October 19, 2013 at the Arawak House of Culture.
Rachel Jno Baptiste is the reigning QTS winner.
