“The entertainment industry in Dominica will never be the same again. ”

This is what organizers of a “Reggae Meets Bouyon” concert carded for Saturday June 7, 2014 in Dominica, are promising.

Organizers of the event say that Roy “Gramps” Morgan who headlines the show on Saturday, is part of a plan “to rewrite the history of the Dominican entertainment industry.”

In a release, the organizers state, ” The Reggae meets Boyoun extravaganza is part of DaneJah Entertainment’s mandate to spike the music and entertainment business to an all time high; combining popular Caribbean and international artists with top local acts.”

The show will also feature  Triple Kay Global, Mel-c, Angel –D, Divine Songz, Benno, Shalina, all backed up by Brage 7 Band.

Organizers say they have taken a strong, ‘No Minors Allowed’ stance for the show and as a result, a school tour has been organized just ahead of the show to give students “the opportunity to interact with the artists, receive words of encouragement and enjoy live performances, without being present at the late night show designed for adults 18 and over.”

Danejah entertainment has held other shows in Dominica with headline acts such as Jah Vinci, RDX, Macka Diamond and Gaza Slim and promises “nothing short of spectacular” for the Reggae Meets Boyoun extravaganza.

I must compliment the organizers of this show who seem to be exhibiting some good sense. I commend you on not allowing minors to come in to the show. No one cares who escorts the children home after the late night shows. This madness must stop.
