Scenes from Rabbit Fest 2010

The 7th Annual Rabbit Fest held in Cochrane, hosted by the Cochrane Rabbit Festival Committee, was one of the weekend’s highlights.

The August 1 event featured a Kids Corner and Gospel Festival, along with various rabbit dishes.

    @Humble: The words are spelt “don’t”, “governor”, “know”, “existence” and “people.” If you can’t spell the basic words, then back off on others who may fumble with the more tricky ones. You are too ignorant.

    I dont know where the switch from Cochrane to Cockrane came from…The village name is COCHRANE named after Governor Cochrane .Before the existance of That Governer it was called ‘hope estate’.The thing is people who kno better and ple in higher authorities dont make this correction and you have 2 different spellings.

    @Herbalist: Don’t be ridiculous, rabbit meat is one of the healthiest meats there is. and rabbit multiply very quickly , sot here is not a risk of over doing it in using them for meat. At lest we know what is int he rabbit meat , as compared tot he many other meats we purchase at the store.

    Obviously the rabbits doing the racesa etc are not the ones being killed .ridiculous!

    All how I watch that poor rabbit, i not seeing meat eh, is a pet I seeing, alas poor thing. After all you make them race in de hot sun all you still eat them, ah magway sa! I hope at least the winner and de first runner up get spared from de pot, AT LEAST until next year!
