Six to vie for title of Carnival Princess 2017

Six students from various primary schools across the island will compete in the 2017 Carnival Princess Show.

They are:
Contestant #1 – Odessa Denis – Bagatelle Primary School
Contestant #2 – Jeanel Phillip – Grand Fond Primary School
Contestant #3 – Mya Belle – Salybia Primary School
Contestant #4 – Simone Moses – Morne Jaune Primary School
Contestant #5 – Farizeena Basir – Atkinson Primary School. Sponsored by Rainbow Rentals & Willcher Services Inc (Mrs Cheryl Rolle)
Contestant #6 – Jewelle George – St Martin’s Primary School. Sponsored by Springfield Trading Ltd (Miss Soldanza Plaintain Chips)

They were launched at the Calypso House in Bath Estate on Wednesday.

The contestants will compete in four segments: Speech, Talent, Party Dress and Costume round.

The show will take place at 3:00 pm on Sunday 12th February 2017 at the Harlem Plaza in Newtown.

The reigning Carnival Princess is Rayne Benjamin of the Convent Preparatory School.

The show is organized by the Rotaract Club of Roseau.

    Pretty children. I still have a problem with numbers 4 and 5 and all that makeup. This is too adultish. I don’t mind a little powder but this level of eye shadow is too much for beautiful children. It’s constructive criticism and my opinion so please don’t lose any sleep over it. I’m not a judge just a concerned citizen who loves to let the children be children. Good luck to all!!

    Adorable Angels. May the best one win, not a clear tief like ti matador. the little girl from poosi was suppose to be first, the little Goodwill was suppose to be second and lil st martin third but i guess they had there winner long before. i suppose is the same for princess show and queen show and all.

      Nonsense you talking. Rubbish…stupid mentality. Seems you were not watching the show. St martin school was untouchable…that child won fair and square. Goodwill primary did not deserve to place.

    All are beautiful little princesses and must commend them for their bravery but there must be one to take the crown home and when the Rayne is over, the Jewel shall shine in all her glory.
