Tasha P goes to another regional competition

Tasha P

Dominica’s reigning Monarch Tasha P will be again representing Dominica at another regional competition.

She will be taking part in the Caribbean Carnival Calypso King of Kings Championship in St. Kitts this weekend.

The competition will feature Kings and Queens from the entire Caribbean, including St. Martin, Barbados, Grenada, Trinidad and Tobago, Antigua and St. Lucia.  The show will be held on Friday January 6th and it forms part of the St. Kitts/Nevis activities for their National Carnival celebrations.

Tasha P continues her representation of Dominica’s calypso art form as she recently captured the 1st runner up position in the Queens of Calypso competition held in Montserrat in December 2011.

Tasha P put on a superb performance last night and gained 1st runner up position with the current monarch of T&T winning the crown. Dominicans should feel very proud as Tasha P did not disappoint us last night. How wonderful it was to witness this high level of performance from our very own. The crown could have gone either way. Tasha P was able to shine among eleven current and former monarchs from around the Caribbean. Congratulations Tasha P.

Too many long hair black woman all over the place!

What happen to the days when black people craved their natural beauty?

These days they all seem to ware this phony artificial wig, which is discovered to be causing cancer.

Women who dress up in these nasty looking wigs are people who are dissatisfied with themselves, and the way God created them.

Some black women these days hair are longer than white women hair; the disappointing thing is that some of them have fooled themselves into believing that the wig, is their own natural hair growing out of their head!

I would never date a woman walking around with such nastiness on her head, I do not even talk to such people, it is an embarrassment to me.

    It’s a pity!

But Francisco where all that coming in nuh… That’s your preference, good for you now comment on the topic. Who cares about all the long story about wigs?? Where’s the fact to prove the cancer causing effects, not all wigs are ‘nasty’ as you say. I find you very rude and out of place. #justsaying

Do not worry about it; simply be guarded because it is true, and another thing is that tight braids also causes women to become balled head too.

And even if they are not very tight, leaving them on indefinitely cause women natural hair to fall out, even some Raster men too.

Take it from the kid because it is true, commonly know in California at least, believe me cause I doh joking eh!

I read about that in a medical; journal, after hearing it on a television program.

While I agree with you the topic is about this young lady’s appearance at the event in SK. Congratulate if you so desire and write a separate note to the editor!

      Best of luck Tasha P.

Everything these days is causing cancer. You should be scared to to be using the keyboard to type such rubbish. It might just be giving cancer too. I agree with your point that women should appreciate their natural beauty but your comment that it is nastiness and you would not date or speak to such people is derogatory. I am certain that many of the beautiful women with their natural hair wouldn’t glance twice at you…
