Roseau, Dominica – (April 17, 2018) — Trinidadian string sensation Xavier Strings and Dominica’s Princess of song Michele Henderson will headline what is being billed by organizers, as one of the best ever Dominica Jazz ‘n Creole, the 2018 edition on Sunday May 20th at the historic Cabrits National Park in Portsmouth on Dominica’s north-west coast.
Patrons of Dominica’s Jazz ‘n Creole can expect a real treat at this year’s main stage event in the Jazz ‘n Creole programme which also features several fringe events at venues across the island and in particular, the north.
Dominica’s Jazz ‘n Creole has become a staple on the entertainment calendar held on Pentecost Sunday and features a family event, providing relaxing jazz music and activities for children. Patrons can, therefore, anticipate stirring Caribbean rhythms on violins played by the Xavier sisters as well as the melodious harmony of Michele’s voice.

The 9th edition of Dominica’s Jazz ‘n Creole is proudly presented by the Government of Dominica through Ministry of Tourism and Culture and Discover Dominica Authority alongside headline sponsor Range Developments. Range Developments are developers of the Cabrits Resort Kempinski which will be opened in 2019.
That’s some great music. We always seeing and hearing Michelle when we lived in Dominica.
Why can’t you Dominicans embrace what is offered to you without bad mouthing those who are trying to create activities for you. Every other caribbean island are moving forward with progress through activities DA is nil at present because of your evil mindedness.
Come on rise and fight for yourselves.
When is the next Gospel Revival Meeting scheduled for Dominica? Any body???!!!! It’s long overdue we need to seek God for ourselves, family and Country. Say Amen somebody….
Amen brother AMEN!
AMEN! Brother AMEN!
Ok.
And what’s the price this year? Cheaper I hope, for this scaled down post-Maria effort..
It should be FREE
I think Dominicans need a “pick me up”
Oh, my goodness. I just cancelled my tickets. I thought it wasn’t going ahead
Aah ok…you could have canceled for next year, we wouldn’t dig.
But what I’m hearing there? Not last week all you say….no jazz and creole….
… which will be opened in 2019 or which is expected to be opened in 2019?
I honestly do not see that hotel opening in 2019 but if it does I would be happy
Can the Kairi school of music feature one year where our young musicians do a few renditions? Can the music lovers orchestra play as well? Can we have more local musicians feature at this even some time? Can local musician develop a routine and perfect to so that they may one year be considered to perform at the jazz event?
& all this time I thought Michele Henderson was “local”
she from a different Grand Bay?
