WCMF hype on in St. Maarten

A past WCMF

Marketing Executive at Discover Dominica Authority (DDA) Samantha Letang has said there is hype in St. Maarten for the 20th edition of the World Creole Music Festival (WCMF).

She spoke at a press conference at the Digicel’s Cooperate Office on Bath Road this week following a festival promotion trip to that island from August 25th – 28th.

The promotion was held in collaboration with St. Maarten-REAL AUTO.

“The hype is there for the World Creole Music Festival in St Maarten,” she said. “We have a partner with REAL AUTO, it is actually part of the fine foods group of companies and the REAL AUTO is onboard this year as a major partner within the St Maarten market.”

Letang continued, “We actually celebrated with them their first anniversary on the island of St Maarten.”

She described the promotion in St. Maarten as ‘major.’

“We had a major promotion with them in store carried live on media in St Maarten and also live on Facebook,” she added.

According to Letang the Dominica Festival Committee also launched a package, an all-expense paid trip to Dominica contest with REAL AUTO, “and we have partners coming on board like WINAIR and our other media partners in support of that.”

She mentioned also that in the coming weeks there will be promotions in the French West Indies, St Lucia and Barbados.

The 20th edition of WCMF is slated for October 27-29.
