Promoter of the World Creole Music Festival (WCMF) Val Cuffy has announced a ‘massive promotion’ to be launched for the event dubbed ‘ticket treasure hunt.’
Cuffy, who was speaking at the third WCMF press conference held at the Dominica Festivals Committee (DFC) office on Wednesday, said that promotion will take place from September 26 to September 30 and will be held islandwide.
“It is going to be a ticket treasure hunt where you are going to have to listen to the radio or stay tuned to our Facebook page with our partners where we will be putting clues,” he stated.
He explained that the hunt will be hosted at outlets that do not traditionally sell WCMF tickets.
“There are going to be a number of outlets in Roseau that are not traditional places that we sell tickets and they are going to be the ones that are going to have this ticket special that will be available at a very attractive season ticket special price,” he noted.
He said the outlets will be located through the treasure hunt.
Cuffy said there will be outlets also available in Portsmouth, Marigot and Grand Bay.
“It will be basically islandwide…it will be at the special price at EC$250,” he stated. “Tickets will still be available on Fridays at EC$275.”
Tickets for the festival can also be purchased at ticketpal.com .
Season tickets are normally priced at EC $325.
WCMF 2016 will be held from October 28 to 30.
