UPDATE: FLOW ‘changes the game’ with more data for lower cost

FLOW launches new plan Friday morning (March 5)

FLOW has launched what the telecommunications company has dubbed an ‘Always on’ plan as part of its efforts to allow customers to connect faster and easier.

During the launch on Friday April 5th at the Flow conference room, Acting General Manager, Lorraine Mitchell noted, “Life is about moments…the new plans are designed to enable the millions of happy connections.’

As a response to the needs of customers who requested more data following Hurricane Maria, the new prepaid plans represent a significant increase in the amount of data FLOW is offering while decreasing the cost compared to the old combo plans. Mitchel noted “FLOW is no longer dealing in Megabytes only Gigabytes”.

The new plans, which will replace the former combo plans, give customers up to 10GBS of data which is a massive upgrade to the existing pre-paid data packages. The new pre-paid plans range from 1 to 10 GBS of data and many include additional benefits such as free local minutes to call any network and free access to messaging on the most popular social media platforms such as Snapchat, Whatsapp, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter- (SWIFT).

The plans are also available in convenient sizes from 1 to 30 days to suit the customer’s needs and were launched today April 5th in Dominica and will eventually be rolled out in all Caribbean  markets.

The new pricing plan can be found below:

That is rubbish. They removed the 1 day combo plan that had minutes before and now we doh have no minutes. And they still make it more expensive. All these new plans are more expensive than the old ones. I guess I have to move to Digi then.

Hahaha a response to Maria almost 2 years after the fact? People please, this is just a response to Digicel upping their data allowances. But this is good just another demonstration of the power of competition.

No, DIGI has not failed and I pray they don’t. Competition is key, we need em both to hammer tings out in order for us the consumer to win and both co’s survive.

Can we just get normal internet service to our homes? This constant buying of data is much too expensive. In this day and age the kind of work people have to get done utilising the internet farrrrr surpasses what these plans offer. It is time for FLOW to focus on the need of the average Dominican who has children, university studies, and keeping in contact with relatives to worry about. Do better!

The new packages suck. Most instances before you know it the plan has expired and you never got to use all the data and there is no rollover.

Secondly I only took combo plans for the ability to call any local number for free not for the mb. My favorite and go to was the one day 50mins and now is see it is gone. Ave Maria

ADMIN: FLOW has stated via the live press conference that there will be rollover. You should contact their office to verify their exact terms.

But y the monthly plan $100, y not have a $50 plan. Or do they already have this. And who cares about sms, gimme 6GB and 250 mins for $50. Who thought out this deals?! Ima stay digi.

If the information is not yet in your hands what was the point of this article DNO? This says nothing. I missed the Press con so I really thought I would learn something here. Why not just wait till you have an article to present? I am just saying,….

Nah, leave us with the option to choose MB. We don’t want this. Faster speeds = more money.
For instance, I highly doubt we’ll be able to get a one day plan of 75 GB for $2.99 after that change..and so on…

ADMIN: The article has since been updated, the new packages cost less while giving more data.

Read and understand…. sometimes i does act and talk just like a tebeh, flow didn’t increase the speeds of the data..that was already done when they lauched the lte service. All flow did is increase the amount of data for the amount of money we would normally pay per plan..

Its good but for the 1 day package I prefer mins instead of SMS no use since there is WhatsApp we need to make calls more than SMS
