BUSINESS BYTE: FLOW Christmas Campaign launch

Roseau, Dominica – November 20th, 2018 –  Flow customers across Dominica will get something ‘extra’ to help ‘warm’ the traditionally colder nights that signal the Christmas season’s arrival.

Flow rolled out their much anticipated Christmas campaign on Tuesday November 20, 2018 with a special celebration filled with music and fanfare and featuring lots of goodies and “EXTRA’s” for existing and new customers including free whatsapp, free talk, gifts, prizes and more.

Though the telecoms provider has been fully focused on its ongoing restoration of services since 2017’s brutal Hurricanes, the company also understands the importance and significance of the Christmas celebration to its customers and employees. “Christmas is the time of year when we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ and a time when people look forward to spending time with family and loved ones. It is also a time when customers anticipate rewards, gifts, prizes and good cheer from businesses that they supported through-out the year, and Flow is eager to give-back to our valued customers with our exciting Christmas campaign.” said Flow’s Head of Commercial Lorraine Mitchell.

The Flow Christmas campaign kicked off at the Flow Customer Experience Center (main store) on Tuesday, November 20th  and customers in the store were treated to special deals, free gifts and delicious traditional Christmas treats including the local favourites, fruit cake and sorrel.

Flow will also take some of the Christmas cheer on the road as they plan to visit various communities across Dominica during this festive season as part of its Christmas caravan to ensure that the many Christmas specials and offers are made available to all.

This Christmas, Flow will feature some exciting offers including:

  • Triple Data Tuesday’s & Sunday’s for all prepaid Combo subscribers
  • FREE whatsapp (Chat, Video, Voice & File transfers) for customers who activate the Large and Xtra Large Combo Plan
  • Free evening and weekend on-net Talk for residential post-paid customers and will extend until the end of March 2019

“Flow customers across Dominica will get something ‘extra’ to help ‘warm’ the traditionally colder nights that signal the Christmas season’s arrival. ”

” help ‘warm’ the traditionally colder nights”

I must asks are you Dominicans gone crazy? What traditional colder nights in Dominica are you all lying about? I am born in the Village of Wesley, saw many Christmas, before I left; returned home, only to find Dominica the same tropical island as I left it.

Usually it rains year round, while the sun is shining brilliantly, the rain pours down, I’ve never experience a colder night in December, than any other night of the year!

I reside in Los Angeles California, I do not own a winter coat, I have many sweaters, which I do not ware, winter or summer; If I go out at night in winter I simply put on a regular leather coat, I drive around year round in a completely convertible sport car, or semi-convertible T-tops off.

So, what this colder nights means?

    Exaggerated lies?

Well you should know all about “exaggerated lies” as this is your forte. However, there are places in Dominica which do get chilly during December (Bellevue, Pichelin even Trafalgar to name but three) I have been told that my Grandmother who was from Pichelin would make jelly, cover the dish, leave it overnight and in the morning it would be set! Even in Roseau when I attend Christmas Mass many ladies wear cardigans to combat the ‘faude’ (Kweol) ‘froid’ (French) the cold). So NO we have not gone crazy. Perhaps YOU have, due to all the smoke in the environment where you are residing! I expect you will state that this has not affected you, but by now we are all aware of your exaggerations.
You state that you have many sweaters which you do not “ware” please note the correct spelling is wear!

Elizabeth shut up, you can even call yourself the devil, and write on DNO I know it is you!

Hell Dominica cold what, where in the tropics it so cold that jelly form at night? I know all of Dominica, when I was a little boy, a few others, would go to all the villages you name with Rocksen Robin from Wesley had a portable  move projector traveling to those villages and screen movies.

We did it at Christmas time and all times of the year, I never felt any different from wen I am in Wesley!

So, alyou in America poppa so is alyou winter time too!

The temperature in Dominica does not exceed 78 degrees F, nor does the biometric pressure exceeds 29, nor does the temperature fall below ambient which is 70 degrees so, do not know how you manage to freeze ting outside!

I assume the tent that completely blocked the pavement in front of the Cable & Wireless Store yesterday morning was connected to this event.

When I passed at 10.00am pedestrians could not pass under the tent and vehicles were parked right up to the edge of the pavement. The only recourse for those of us on foot, was to risk traffic by walking along the road. No one was duty to monitor the situation.

I tried bringing the danger of the situation to the attention of staff within the store but no one seemed to see it as a problem. I left a message for the Mr Baptiste but as yet it has not been responded to.

May I suggest that if the pavement has to be completely blocked, that a cordoned walkway on the road is provided for the safety of pedestrians.
