Builders and Contractors Association of Dominica to host education session on Procurement Bill

As part of its thrust to get its membership familiar with issues in the sector, the Builders and Contractors Association of Dominica (BCAD) is embarking on an education session for the construction sector by hosting a discussion on the current drafting of the Procurement Bill.

The event is scheduled to be held at The University of the West Indies Open Campus’ auditorium on Wednesday,  March 23 at 7 pm.

The target audience are all players in, and those who have interest in, the construction sector and public procurement – builders, contractors, engineers and architects,  quantity surveyors, suppliers,  etc.

It is expected that presentations/contributions  will be made by:
1. An attorney in the Ministry of Legal Affairs
2. The financial secretary or her delegate
3. A member of the construction sector

It is hoped that the Minister of Finance may attend or send a delegate.

I think this is a very good start. Anything they can do to educate there members so that they can be better equiped to take advantage of government contracts while saving the taxpayers money is a win-win for everybody.

Why such a short notice – Anthony? This should have gone out long time ago.. There may be persons who have not heard of this eduction session before.
There should have been communication since before the 22nd. Hope you did that prior to this news release on DNO. Just an observation!
