BUSINESS BYTE: Digicel released latest version of ‘My Digicel’ app

digicel appDigicel today announced the release of the latest version (v5.34) of its ‘My Digicel’ app for Android smartphones, an interactive and user-friendly tool that allows customers to manage their overall mobile experience.

The newly updated ‘My Digicel’ app boasts a whole host of new and amazing features including data and credit balance widget on the smartphone home screen, a simple to follow graphic display of customers’ usage, plan filtering and the ability to activate, deactivate and upgrade data plans. In addition, the app is free to use as not a single MB of a customers’ data allowance is used to access the information and content available on the app.

Digicel Group Chief Commercial Officer, John Delves, said; “We are always looking for ways to enhance our customers’ mobile experience and help them to get the most out of their data, so we are very excited to be introducing this latest version of My Digicel App. The world has become more and more data-centric and customers want to have more access to movies, music, and social media on their smartphone without breaking the bank on their data charges. With features like the balance check widget on the home screen, customers can easily monitor and take control of their usage.”

Known as the go-to-place for all things Digicel, existing features allow customers to send top up to any Digicel phone, locally or internationally, view account information, and see the latest promotions and offers – whenever they wish. It also features social media feeds so customers can connect with Digicel through Twitter and Facebook and take advantage of exclusive offers through the app.

The ‘My Digicel’ app has an automatic log in capability in most markets and is available through the Play Store to all smartphone users on the Android OS platform.
