Citizen’s Forum for Good Governance heads to Castle Bruce

Martin

The Citizen’s Forum for Good Governance takes its Listen, Learn and Educate (LLE) Tour to the community of Castle Bruce on Tuesday June 28th, 2011. The meeting at Glu Glu begins at 6:00 pm.

Host of the Listen, Learn and Educate activities of the Forum Atherton Martin says, “Tuesday’s interactive engagement will feature an open mike session in which the people of Castle Bruce and the surrounding communities will have an opportunity to share their concerns and their improvement suggestions for the good and just governance of Dominica.

“Members of the Forum will address critical issues such as the integrity of our electoral system – the main pillar of our democracy; the priority being given to nationals from other countries to work in Dominica while Dominicans remain unemployed; the rapid decline in equal development opportunities for all; and the unchecked breakdown in the rule of law.

“The event will also feature a multimedia presentation summarizing the development feedback from the Castle Bruce Case community in the context of emerging plans for the return of good governance based on equal rights, justice and freedom of the human spirit for all Dominicans”.

The Listen, Learn and Educate Tour, organized by the Citizens Forum for Good Governance in collaboration with political parties and other civic minded organizations has already made stops in Scotts Head, Portsmouth, Colihaut and Vielle Case.

what is it that athie really looking for?? why such political instability?? athie has prostituted himself to every available political organization on the island and we are left to wonder, to what political ideal does athie subscribe? because the parties on island are fundamentally different in there ideas. so does athie change his politics and ideas like the tides or is he a political parasite, seeking the ideal host with which to propagate his own selfish brand of politics.

if workers were to win the next elections would athie also drop out and campaign with labour again against them when they don’t let him have his way with their government??

i sense political ambition driven by a hunger for power and not exactly the well being of Dominica.

Dominicans and in particular the people of Castle Bruce need to be more opened. We live in a civilized and educated world. stop behaving so dumb. Have an open mind. Listen and ask your questions.
Its irritating to see my people behaviny that way in 2011.
Come on people, educate yourself. Get knowledgeable. stop behaving like idiots.
you need to have an open mind.

The jist of the matter is Athie and Lennox are on a competion to see who could be the better PRO for the workers party when they win in 3030. If they so educated why cant they hold on to a job? They will not last long as PRO because it entails taking notes and thats too much work. All they can do well is talk, talk, talk. No wonder the parrot on our flag turning purple. It holding its breath too long because Lennox and Athie not giving it a chance. BLAH BLAH……

Why don’t Athie and his bunch of jokers take their comedy show to broadway? The bunch of talkers are really srting to irritate me. There is so much work to be done in the country and all we get from the likes of Athie is talk and more talk. He could start to do something meanningful for the country by making good on his promise to turn the water contract that the government gave him into meanningful jobs for the unemployed that he speaks about.

Or maybe people like Athie (and the idiots I am sure who will jump at the chance to criticize me here) all believe that it’s only the government job to create jobs. ironically they think that way but yet will not embrace communism, which is the only system where the governement is expected to do everthing for its citizens.

8-O You are right; there is indeed a lot of work to be done: PLEASE TELL US OF YOUR OWN CONTRIBUTION – HOW ARE YOU HELPING? – WHAT PART ARE YOU PLAYING? – OR ARE YOU ANOTHER ONE JUST LIKR ATHIE?

Talk is cheap. I would like to see Athie and his crew put their money where their mouth is. It is all well and good to sit and criticize. Scrutinize the government’s every move and find faults. Can you all show me something you all doing one day so I can believe you all , at least a plan. Like I say -TALK IS CHEAP.
