A police official who has acted in the post before is for the moment taking over from outgoing Commissioner of Police Cyril Carrette.
Dominica News Online can confirm that a decision has been taken as to who will be in charge of the Police Force from mid night tonight.
A source close to the matter has confirmed that Superintendent Daniel Carbon will be sitting in the commissioner’s chair, while a more permanent replacement is being considered.
DNO’s been told that outgoing police chief Carette received a directive from the prime minister on the matter.
“All I can tell you is that the prime minister called the chief and told him to hand over the duties of chief to Daniel Carbon from 4pm today (July 6 2012),” the source told DNO.
Some within the police force had expected Deputy Commissioner Hobbes Jno Baptiste to be the man in charge in the interim.
Superintendent Carbon has acted in the post of deputy chief and chief.
Ok,joke is joke
seriously, when someone has served your country for a number of years they deserve a good send off and if that’s how Mr.Carette was sent off that’s a shame on my PM’s part.
However, congrats the Mr.Daniel,he is from my village and if they decide to keep him then to God be the Glory.I just wish them well.
Mr.carette sons are my friends and I have had a few encounters with him at his house but when it comes to doing his job ,I have never been please by the way he delivers a police report on the news. But maybe he has been a great cop otherwise.
I really want to know the real reason why Mr.Carette was fired from his position
Whether Mr. Carbon is the right choise for the position of Commissioner of Police as not for me to judge.
Far more important is that we are now waking up to the reality, if we did not do so already, that we have an M.P., who is de facto ruling this little country as a President by edict.
The oppostion, though hardly effectual, is a mere irritant to him and Parliament irrelevant.
We may have taken his declaration in 2009 that no law, no constitution would prevent him from standing as a candidate in the general elections simply as the petulant utterings of an inexperienced young man but those of us we did not take this serious are mistaken.
Today, Dominica has no claim to be a true democracy and maybe the current leader took the majority he garnered at the last election as an endorsement for a mandate to rule as he sees fit, without consultation. Indeed, why bother to observe the constitution, when you believe to be on a divine mission? let those, who object challenge you and simply ignore them.
We may be an island but we do not live in isolation and the rest of the world is watching and judging us, based on the words and actions of an imperious chief representative. We are but a miniscule irritant that can be squashed, like a fly or mosquito if it becomes too much of a nuisance, without fuss and few mourning its demise.
I think since Carette spoke about weeding out the police officers that are in bed with the drug dealers he overstepped his boundary.
I think this was the straw that broke the carmel’s back. Question is now, why????????
Will the Police Force move to any place better? I dought. Mr. Hobbes, you too quiet. Take the government to court. We all know that now is a time when the PM calls good evil and evil good. But we have to put that nonesense to a stop. You are much more qualified than d man. I suspect a war will break out headquarters, but i just doh want to be there. Once d PM has control off thhe police force, what can anybody do with him. he learn from Chavez an dem. Chavez and dem man always advice that the frist thing to get control of is the military organization in the country. Have them on your side. A word to the wise!
if u are really an ex police, your are not an educated one..come with something better than that
skerro dont put anyone in there who u think is going to CLIP your wings.
It soen not matter how long it takes…Every passing day is one day less.
skerro will clip his own wings. It’s just a matter of time
Not sure if this is dishonest or just plain smart.Would not have dealt with anyone i cant trust
Boy, we better than Hollywood! So many people we have “Acting”. Even P.M. is like that. More often we have an “acting” one than a real one. Wonder who is directing this movie??
Gone are the days when one had to be in his 70’s to hold high office in DA.
Our country is moving forward with young policy makers and it is still one of the safest countries in the Caribbean/World. No one person or group can attempt to interfere with the security of the state or the comfort of its citizens without getting their rear ends busted.
So let the country grow and thanks to Mr. Skerrit
what about you follow
It is so unjust that the man who is most qualified and capable and the appointed second in command has twice been slighted and the position given to one of lower rank, qualification and experience. But you know what Mr. Hobbs Jno Baptiste take a bow, this tells me that there are still men of honour and integrity in the police force and in Dominica for that matter who cannot be bought, who will STAND UP for what is right and just and will not be a puppet to politicians. Continue to serve with pride and dignity and let the Lord give you your reward!!!!!
I understand your point clearly, but experience is one and character is another one..People show you what they want to show you and unless you are in their presence you are not too sure..But I do hope that the force continue to protect the country
yu know what I doh understand with allyu. I always try to be neutral and I get into a lot of hot water for this, but when Edison was flooding every single department of Govt with marigotians. the whole airport is marigotians what yall said? well the shoe on de oder foot now. Garcon Comrade Skerro flood de place with jgean vielle casse garcon. yu de man now.
sing peter sing
they still will not buy your cars, you doh see is tony astaphans and dem that benefitting…. so peter have no right in tony race.
n i agree with u…
i know mr carbon to be a well respected gentleman from having talks with him….my humble opinion
you dont know a person just because you may have had a conversation with that person… all i know is that he cannot tell the rogues in vielle case jack if they pull up smoking marijuana on his fence…
i would stay inside and say nothing…A PEOPLES COP, BUT HE OK IN DE COURT…
DNO, please allow me the opportunity to echo the sentiments of Mr. Lennon Linton and many callers to his program, “Between you Me” of Saturday, 8 July 2012. The acting appointment of Superintendent Daniel Carbon may be unconstitutional, except that Superintendent Carbon is only the “Officer-in-Charge” of the Dominica Police Force while the permanent replacement of the Commissioner is considered in accordance with the proper procedure as outlined in Section (92.1) of the Constitution of Dominica.
A few days ago, after learning of the pending retirement of Commissioner Carette in a DNO story entitled, “Carette bowing out, ROSEAU VALLEY blogged, in part, the following;
“Mr. Carette, like anyone who has served the public for 40 + years deserves our collective gratitude and best wishes. Probably, Mr. Carette was handed the position as top cop by the political directorate, who wanted him to do their bidding and yes, he may have done his best –which by all accounts, was way below the level integrity, professionalism and competence expected of a Commissioner.”
At the time, ROSEAU VALLEY refrained from commenting on the pending retirement until it was made official. ROSEAU VALLEY have since said adieu to Mr. Carette and wished him well as he enjoys the sunset of his retirement to join Mr. Gregoire (the one who behind the scenes together with the disappoint who is the President of Dominica responsible for the unlawful appointment of the Commissioner without proper and effective consultation with the duly elected/nominated Leader of Opposition.)
ROSEAU VALLEY made these comments in light of the fiasco we experienced in March 2011 when Carette himself was appointed Commissioner. At the time the Opposition Leader, Hector John said he would not recognize then Inspector Carette as the new Police Chief since he regarded the appointment illegal and unconstitutional. The matter was referred to the “incident” whose heart, lungs and liver is in a pool of whisky and brandy but nothing came out of this exercise.
Just about a year later, His Excellency, His Highness, King, the Honourable, the Almighty unlawful Prime Minister Skerrit has done it again in accordance with his signature phrase, no law, no constitution can stop him from doing anything in Dominica. He simply called the Chief and advised him to hand over the duties of Commissioner to Daniel Carbon from 4.00 PM Friday.
This, yet again, exposes the arrogance of the administration and its continued disrespect and disregard for the Constitution, laws, the Leader of Opposition and people of Dominica.
Let’s understand that Section 92 (1) of the Constitution invests the power in the President to appoint a person to hold or act in the office of Commissioner and /or Deputy Commissioner on the advice of the Prime Minister, only AFTER CONSULTATION with the Leader of the Opposition and the Police Service Commission.
Consultation in the context of the constitution is rather loose and it does not mean that there has to be an agreement etc. Nevertheless, such consultation must take place before any such appointment is made. This is not the same as to “inform” post facto as Mr. Skerrit has done over and over again.
The Leader of the Opposition has always been disrespected by the current administration and it appears that no law or constitution other than another 1979 “Constitutional coolwarwash brigade” will stop Mr. Skerrit and the Labour Party.
Tell me something, is there a (PSC) Police Service Commision in Dominica, is there an Opposition in Dominica, if there is, is there a leader of that opposition, under what authority the prime minister has the sole responsibility to appoint an AG police cheif, is this a police force or a scout troupe, what the hell is going on in this country man, so everybody just seatback and let this man do what the hell he want, is this man skerrit some kind of monarch or something. AN UPSET DOMINICAN POLICE OFFICER OVERSEAS.
Gzzzz man! Do u really think that’s what happened or how Mr Carbon was selected for this position? Don’t we ever stop and think?
dont blame the PM.call LIVERPOOL(CASIMIR0 and he will tell u to take him to court
n even if u angry overseas who cares?
if you wanted to do something about it y u run overseas?u should have stayed to do something..maybe u mighty enough to save DA
all of allu those police men are the same..allu doing more nonsense than the citizens..so one not better than the other.. shame on all of allu
But you people not easy! Acting like hard working persons don’t come from the North. They didn’t say Daniel is the CHIEF he is acting for God’s sake. A decision has not been made as to who is the CHIEF yet. Get a damn grip and stop hating on us Northern folks who work hard or even harder than the rest. Mr Carette well done now take my humble advice and take a good rest!
it is only reasonably that the person whom should act is the deputy…
that non sense happening everywhere in the civil service… but i hope when people cannot take it again allu will be able to control de fire.
wat fire?sort, well start the fire noh.lets see how far and wide it will spread.
what fire?u just a nut head..foolish
First to begin with, the rank of Commissioner has always been, is and will be a political appointment. Who else would the Prime Minister have appointed other than the Superintendent closest to him?
I would not have been surprised if Lando was promoted to Deputy and Inspector Moses elevated to Superintendent. It is what it is. Let us move on to the next chapter.
So, you are accept the way things are even if they are wrong? Well, I don’t and ergo protest .
weekes we want for commissioner
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=soHSR3vPhmg
whether the man is from north south east or west, isn’t he a dominican?what’s wrong with we dominicans in this time?why are you afraid of the notherners?do they not contribute to the economie of dominica?has everything to be concentrated on roseau?all we do is show the caribbean and the rest of the world our non patriotic ways towards our own country while praising others.what if he was from roseau or marigot, would the reaction be the same?let us pray for dominica, lovely dominica!
Mr Carrette came from the north as well you know.
So why cant everyone in Dominica live in peace and just wait for a decision to be made. I know you all have your views but. Are you all stating that he never did anything good for Dominica.
Sometimes you can know someone and think they will do good for the country but maybe they just want to get the post to make themself look good.
Better the devil you know sometimes than the one you do not know.
they wont give it to hobbes because he doh want to be skerro little boy. he takes no nonsense
victimization at its best. Dont worry “Time will Tell”. Just watch where sanford is today. watch where “vere bird is”. Allu forget antigua was his own. dont worry.
n now antigua goin under water..u think it was a good move?come with something else
my husband used to be police in dominica and he has worked with mr carbon on several occasions, and his opinion of the man is that he has no balls, to stand up in the best intrest of the police force.
he belives it should be time that a cheif is elected to that role for his qualifications and experiance with in the police force, and not on what colour he wears
this is so true, and this is going to bring further division in the force.. this man does not have his fellow officers back… its about his pocket..
very wrong choice for a commissioner..
ur husband did not have the balls n thats y he was not elected..so it shouldn’t be a surprise to u that he d say that.. would it?
when you talking about balls ,ask him if he have to balls to had remain faithful when he was messing with women
Come on! which government would appoint any one in this important and serious position knowing that this person do not support it’s policies. Congrats Carbon go make your mark, god’s guidence.
the topic and the picture didnt match.am i the only one that realise that?
I agree with you. Thought the same thing when I first saw it. Good observation.
no you’re not the only one. that picture is when they shot drigo in possie. smh DNO… you gut=ys are unprofessional
come on give those pple a break..they work with what they have..its work in progress..smh..Dominicans,all they see is an error
That type of behavior is very demoralizing. How can workers be encouraged to develop themselves education wise, be efficient on the job and all it takes is alignment to a political party to get ahead.
This is not just police commissioner, it’s from Cabinet secretary all the way down.
I have a word of advice to the graduating high school students. When you got to the bank to take out the student loan, know how you going to pay it back, choose your majors carefully, and think of yourself first to develop as young person, country will come after, because you make a mistake and be foolish about it, if u’re not willing to be a political boom boom fly, u will suck salt for toffee in Dominica. Qualified, competent, it doesn’t matter.
You need to think of self first young people, no country because country is kind to one man and one man only Roosevelt Skerrit.
thats good advice tho..even if i might have a lil issue ..but good word..Only person that gave a good advice on DNO so far for the young people
No disrespect to Mr. Carbon but if he wasn’t best suited for the Deputy Commissioner position how can he be the best person for the position of Commissioner?
It appears that there is no need for the office of Deputy Commissioner. I always thought that the person who is practically doing the job as Deputy would be the best for the Chief position. Have I been taught wrongly?
all stupid died behind a carnival band.PM Skerrit is the man for the time, give him a break. His decision is final. Who vex lost.A VIEILLE CASE PASSE leaving out of V/Case
Sup you are the BEST MAN for the job. Let not your detractors trouble you in your work ahead. Jah Guide my Commissioner. Let Them Talk. Your work in charge of Special Branch has paid off a has shown your Leadership role in TAKING CHARGE OF THINGS.
Commissioner of Police, Cyril Carrette
We bid you a fond adieu
A faithful servant of Dominica some 40 plus years
Time has passed by, so quickly it flew
From a teacher, constable and Commissioner too
You have decided to call it a day
Having served and gained invaluable experiences along the way
So for now, to the politics of your long service I’ll give way
And simply express thanks and gratitude today
Now free from the protocol of policing, you can do things your way
With time to explore, other heights to conquer, other beasts to slay
Enjoy your retirement have some fun and some rest
Above all, enjoy your family, play and work less
As they say – life begins at retirement
So take time to spend the extra time without worry
Enjoy life on a steady stream from the strict demands of law enforcement
Say goodbye to the force and say hello to the pension cheque
Retirement should be wonderful as a former top cop
Perhaps you’ll serve on some board or commission here and there
Doing nothing –less worrying of what the public might think
But free from the political and bureaucratic stresses that plagued your last days of service
Accept your retirement Sir, as the best gift from Dominicans
And use your the extra time to reflect and to search for your undiscovered talents
Take time to enjoy your neighbourhood and the joy of your kids, family
Take pleasure in the universal splendour that is time itself
And witness the fruits of your labour age with ease
As a trained and seasoned police officer
You may at times think and act as if you are still the Commissioner
Feel free to attend lots of security briefings, workshops and seminars
Now called relaxation sessions, restful moments and naps
Happy retirement Sir and best wishes
Again adieu – Mr Commissioner Cyril Carrette
Roseau Valley 2012
To those who are simply opposed to any and everything posted by ROSEAU VALLEY, please advise what is wrong or what makes you so uneasy with my poetic attempt to express sincere best wishes and fond adieu to Mr. Carette after serving the country for 40+ years?
One may not like the man’s politics but my god, the man has served the country for a long time. The problem is not with Carette per se, it is with the people who violate the letter and spirit of our Constitution and laws according to their whims and fancy and in total contempt for the people of Dominica. The least that one could do guided by his human good conscience and sense of patriotism is to wish the gentleman well. By the way, in one word – Happy 60th birthday Mr. Carette. Enjoy. Oh sorry!!!actually this was 6 words, not even two
I loveeeeeeeeeeeeee this..well put together..real talent..i agree
Hobbs should consider court action
As an x DA cop I agree. Hobbs is the man for the job.The pm continues to lower the standard of the police force. He is a political victim. Where are all the senior police officers. Let your voices be heard.
A quick question.
Does the Leader of the Opposition have any say in the appointing of a Police Commissioner, acting or otherwise?
Owwwwwwwwwww, welcome Mr.Carbon…i told you to expect better days
Gosh! who are we going to make fun off since Carrette is gone. He was very funny and would always bring a smile to my face when he spoke. Every country needs one of those. Regardless of what they say, Dominica will miss you. You are a funny dude.
Duke for commisionr
Why they doh put Duke Severin For commisioner
One must wonder why people like me always criticise the Skerrit Labor Party Government. Occasionaly, I am not convinced that them fellars know anything about management, protocol, extending courtesies or the ability to understand what it is to be incharge of a Nation. Can someone tell me the reasons why the Prime Minister who is responsible for the Commissioner of Police office didn’t know that today was the last day in office for the Police Commissioner.”All I can tell you is that, the Prime Minister called the Chief of Police and told him to hand over the duties of Chief of Police to Daniel Carbon from 4 pm today July 6th 2012.” What kind of mickey mouse Police Force is that,no wonder the DON Emanuel case is in limbo.
Wel ah doh care who skerrit put or how once is one dat wil help bring the place down. I in america and jus waitn 4 a free ticket to come for a few days next election!
U must be a real full! U must be in America and don’t know where your next meal is coming from.
Well congrats to the new chief and good health to the old enjoy your retirement and to the uwp bloggers leave that GON CASE alone so long dumi in cans leave that. I die nah! because. You love labour! N anyting 4 labour! Well thank you!
dictatorship, sorry for the typo.
THis appointment by the prime minister carries some troubling implications.
Coming in the midst of an ongoing investigation of the attempted murder of a retired magistrate that remains unresolved and credible allegations tying that crime to associates of an attorney with close ties to the prime minister, the sudden appointment of a new acting chief should gives us pause.
What are the qualifications of the new acting chief? Does he have any overt political affiliations? What are his likely strengths and weaknesses and is he likely to be a commissioner who can protect the integrity and the assumed independence of the police?
The proof of this pudding will be in the eating.
If these developments are true then we are in real trouble. Why didn’t the Police Service Commission which was created under a Dominica constitutional order and has the power to appoint persons to hold or act in offices in the Force hold an emergency meeting to appoint an interim chief? Does the PM have theses powers to just call or use his BB rom overseas and say put this man there and not that one? The lawyers in the house please weigh in. The chairman, and vice chairman and all the members of the Commission should resign because they are nothing but ‘zou-zou’. With Skerrit we are heading down a very slippery slope. Some say strong leader I say dictator!!!!!!
we want weekes
I wonder on what LEVEL we are now. We must be on the 90 something… Ask those MAL A WAY who are catching hell to buy a bread and they will give an indication.
Can anyone enlighten the readers if the leader of the opposition had to be contacted on this appointment?
Thats not fair at all, although Mr Carbon has held the seat for a while, during his performance we all know it was not up to spar. The best two people that would have done a great job and we all know is Dep. Hobbs Jno Baptiste and Sup. Yvonne Alexander because we all know they have the experience and are both equally qualified, but then again…….. see who runs the country, there’s no way any of them would ever seat on that chair in the office……
It is no surprise the PM will like any other elect another of his own kin and folk to be chief of police acting or appointed.Tt’s done that way the world over whether we want to believe it or not, what is wrong is his outright manipulation and heavy handidness with no decorum that taints the man’s tenure before he has even warmed the chair. Skerrit must learn the tact of diplomacy!
I know nothing about the gentleman so I will not cast wild aspersions but only hope he can tidy up some of the mess in the way and at least bring some semblance of morale to the police force. Good luck sir on your appointment and do your best to work with all and bring justice to bear for rich and poor.
You know what, regardless of who the Hon. PM appointed, you all would be on there crying foul. Even if he had appointed the Pope, you all would still make noise. For some of you, it seems like nothing the Hon. PM does is ever good enough for the likes of you. SMH.
Anyway, congratulations to Mr. Carbon on his appointment. Be the best that you can be and let those that sow the seeds of discord continue on thier merry way.
The same can be said for Carrette as well. Let me wish MR CARBON all the best on his reappointment as AG: Commissioner Of Police as I always say the police force is not going anywhere and all those who are or were associated with the Police Force knows that it is not for eternity and there will always be a police Force weather we like who is Commissioner or not Law and Order has to be maintained. But the way of life in our Dominica these days is to complain and idle talk and some persons think the are entitled but is who in the kitchen feels the heat. And the same thing different days goes on untill hell break loose. My good friend and former partner in crime good luck to you and may the good Lord direct your path at all times thou you are now in the acting position the burdern and responsibilities remain the same. God guidance every time. And for those who love Carrette will always love him and those haters will eat their Hearts out life continues.
this is the pm breaking the law again… there is a special protocol in appointing police chief
a labourite alone dat can say dat, stupes
Mr, Carbon must take this acting appt, very serrious, please finish the matter on the shotting issue. no conflect of: friends or no friends. we will see how that unfolds.
If you live up to you name “Reader” you would know that there is always a wrong and right way to do things. Read your constitution section 117.
Interesting comment, but it can be turned around as well. Regardless of who was appointed you would still be OK. So.. live and let live. NO one can pleased at all times. While one side finding fault with everything, the other side not finding faults with anything. LIfe is good!!
lol
I guess now being from the northern constituency is the qualifying vice for any senior position in this country. I guess he will continue to prop up the regime but for God sake revive the the GON Emanuel case and u will command the respect of the Domincan people. Bring back secco sekko next week and the job will be yours forever. I just want justice- nothing more
I really want that GON case to be actively investigated and those responsible brought to justice. 1. Because it is the right thing to do; and 2. because then you all will not nothing to talk about.
What happened to Mr. Emmanuel is truly unfortunate and should not happen in any civilized country. But I just don’t get what this is the ONLY crime that concerns you! Armed robberies, murders, rapes, etc., etc. should be equally revolting.
Hope D.N.O. allow you to vent for I demand you do. My question to you, have you every had a chance to ask MR EMANUEL who allegedly burn Down his house??? Thats all I will say on the matter no name no warrant fit to be posted on D.N.O. Thank you!
congrats sir. U are a serious man and a man of discipline. Continue on the right path Mr. carbon. Congrats to u and yr family.
I have never heard him speak in public as he is not accustomed of doing that. I think that they would choose one of the more experienced officer to take over the mantle and maybe have him as the Dupt.Comm.
hubs sorry not under skerro
hmmmmmmmmm i smell a rat? will it come out? dominica is waiting
another waste as chief.
God blesse you and your family Mr.Carette go enjoy the rest of your wonderful life, you severe our country very well, long live Carette.
Severe your country? Sever your country perhaps, because it seems like Dominica is being torn apart eh!
Carbon is a waste of time…no tact…can’t speak properly…unqualified…- my humble opinion
My hope for Mr. Carrett is to hold a press conference sometime next week and tell the truth,no one can touch you.Dominicans will only forgive you when you speak to us and not your priest or pastor.
**ONE PHONE CALL**
“All I can tell you is that the prime minister called the chief and told him to hand over the duties of chief to Daniel Carbon from 4pm today (July 6 2012),” the source told DNO.
Amazing!! I wonder if the rules of law for respected!! That’s like being a dictator!! If this is what truely happen then this is really ……
UNACCEPTABLE!!
thats why i believe he was a puppet all the time.taking orders from the p.m and tony
oh i hope that one REVIVE THE GOM CASE, but for some reason i dont think it will work because that carbon fellar is also a protector of the cabal
Hmm! Somebody had really blog and said it was going to be somebody from the Pm place. wat a ting!
Is Hobbes out of state?
No, just out of the race for Commisisoner under the DLP.
no
Good luck Mr.carette, job well done u look so gud now u have to keep that up,i am younger then u sir,and you way look better then me bro.go eat your fish much love men.
utter rubbish was the worst chief ever .even the darroux man put utter rubbish to shade
i said it before, any body from vielle case… control the police chief, control the customs chief control the fire chief, control land and survey chief and the list goes on..
that is the mess we are in.. no one makes any decisions on their own just a country of political puppets and skerrit is the puppet master assisted by tony.
time will tell
congrats mr carbon…….. v.case pple r very intelligent pple.. we are always d head n not d tail.. startin frm d first premier of D.A down to our beloved P.M…. if we deserve a post we go for it….. we r nt backward pple……
Way papa, not surprised. Been hearing it was him for months now… The PM taking care of his constituency. Acting PS Health (V/case constituency) Acting Police Commissioner (V/Case constituency)…..
you forget customs and agriculture
land and survey
a few down the line would like to be remembered for this writing? Read this
Superintendent Carbon has acted in the posted of deputy chief and chief.
yes country man rubbing anothers back
Respice Finem. (Regard the end) . Anybody who is appointed by Skerrit is going to be doing is bidding. People the system in jacked unless the this dirty, rotten, scheming regime is gone do not expect anything good from this country, and that’s the uncomfortable, brutal TRUTH!!!
Is it me or does this look like a clear personal victimization of Hobbes, well u that pm like to abuse your power boy!
What them police doing out there, with them military outfit, also why would police be wearing military outfit? just a question cause i cannot comprehend the reason
The pic of police in area where Armstrong Drigo got shot that is there
I have difficulty with that photo myself. I can’t see the relevance.
DNO needs to do better that that. Poor choice of photo. this needs to be removed.
Carbon was in public view many times you all should have his photo.
It’a a question DOMINICANS have to wonder about dont we have a constitution and it have to be the guiding force that hold us together and as a Nation we have to respect it. I wonder did Skerrit discuss his decision with the opposition party can he do one thing that shows his is working together to put the people of D’ICA before his ego I just how that this man is not going to be a ” YES MAN ” I agree the first thingd he should do is open up Mr. Emanuel case. I guess we just have to wait and see what’s going to happen.
To answer your question this is Dominica’s idea of the elite team within the police force. They are the SSU / drug squad. Their work involves covert ops in the jungles of DA hence their Camis!
These are members of the S.S. Unit, a paramilitary branch of the Dominica police force, equiped with assault arms, quartered at Morne Bruce and directly answerable to the P.M.
Hmmmmmmmmm! So I see Hobbs has been sidelined once again. Interesting, very, very interesting. I smell some serious legal backlash against the government.
Assertive, NOT Agressive.
Not only Hobbs that was sidelined, what of Duke Saverin,Yvonne Alexander and Ferrol, they all are senior to Carbon
All is not well in that Police Force… I smell a big manicou!!
hey, hey careful with that M word…
good luck to mister carette, May God bless you, Welcome mister Carbon, I’m happy you are the on in charge and i hope u will be appointed.
What’s the matter with this post, it is receiving all those thumbs down?
u want to know?
get the right man the job and stob jobbing the BOYS!
