Dominica Freedom Party welcomes appointment of Irwin LaRocque as CARICOM SG

The Dominica Freedom Party welcome the announcement made on Thursday, July 21, 2011 by Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis and Chairman of Caricom Honourable Dr. Denzil Douglas on the appointment of Mr. Irwin Larocque to serve as the seventh Secretary General of the Caribbean Community, Caricom.

Mr. Larocque brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and management skill to his new position having served as Permanent Secretary in various Ministries in The Government of Dominica as well as in a number of Prominent Positions in Dominica and the region. He also served as Assistant Secretary General of Caricom with specific responsibility for the Continuing Implementation and further Development of the Caricom Single Market and Economy (CSME).

The Dominica Freedom Party wishes Mr. Larocque every success in his new position as Secretary General of the Caribbean Community and calls on the Governments and people of the region to give him the necessary support to enable him to function effectively as we tackle together the many challenges confronting the region.

    I support you all the way,I am a die hard freedom party follower during the years of mamo, now i seeing this lady tight lip on the issues effecting the country, she must come out and show that the freedom party care again, its mamo who tell the followers to vote labour, now labour killing, robbing the country, she need to get up on her hind side and put things in place, let people know who is the people who will represent the party in the next election, not wait when election is called to do that.

    AA, Howdee, long time I doh hear any comments from you. I even say you run and leave Dominica!!!

    So tell me if Maynard Joseph gets Skerrit position as Parlrep and he sitting in d house of Assembly you know he going and challenge you for leadership of Freedom Party.

    So that is why you not making comments and secretly hoping Skerrit win d court case. So a win for Skeritt is a win for YOU to continue as leader of the Dominica Freedom Party

    you all say bad tings about pestaina, but none of you want to give de woman a chance, eugenia charles trusted de woman, and i tink we should, at least de woman has a busness here in dominica, and would do tings in our intrest, when she was head of de hotel and tourist division der was never any talk of de cruises going, my life has taken a bad turn since the last 2 years and all because of the young boy dat running de country, and makeing his money every where else but here a home.
    well done j pestaina, you are show in me that it is my vote that you will get, but i tink you have to prove to de county why our beloved miss charles trusted you so much

    The Dominica Freedom Party is the only respected party in Dominica today.

    All dominicans should come out and throw our support bhind Ms. Pestina and the party.

      When you stop dreaming let me know. May she rest in peace but mamo was the freedom party all the rest were followers. I know cause my mom who was mamo`s hair dresser had more say than those yes men on the party at the time. Need I say more???.When you stop dreaming let me know.

      Who dat respect them???? The Freedom party doesn’t even speak out on anything… they just say “Opposed” or in this case “for”.

    Is there such a party? THE FREE–DOME PARTY” these people are all asleep and when election comes around they appear and try to make voters belive they care about the country, you all have to come better than that! cause people nt stupid, Stay in you all coma and come elections come tell us how much problems the country have. What does that have to do with the subject matter? a lot! To come out and congratulate the brother is a no brainer my dog would do the same. Tackle the tough issues befalling the country educate the masses mobilizes your base stay relevant on the issues so come elections the masses will be well informed.
