Dominica is standing in solidarity with the government and people of Japan as it deals with pressure from the international community about its nuclear energy thrust.
Japan is currently dealing with widespread devastation along its north-eastern coast following a massive earthquake and tsunami that killed thousands of people. This has prompted the international community to question the importance of nuclear energy in Japan.
But Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit said Japan has the support of his Dominica Labour Party regime.
“I want to say to Japan that Dominica stands in total solidarity with it and because of the damage to the nuclear facility, there is now a move to question the importance of nuclear energy. And those of us who have been studying the effects of climate change will know that the presence of nuclear energy assist in reducing the impact on the climate,” he said.
Skerrit was addressing the official opening of the Japanese-funded Fisheries Complex in Portsmouth.
People have to respect skerrit. That man really know how to play the game internationally, thats a qualified begger,he butters your mouth before he ask you to spit in the palm of his hands and then we all Dominicans can lick that hand.He is good to those who are good to him and he holds loyalty to no one,he is not headstrong on any issue and where the goat is tied that is where it will feed.Dominica needs money so he has no tie to anyone except the money.
