Thanks to the efforts of the Regional Council, the French Red Cross, Associations, Firms and the Population of Martinique, 70 tons of donations have been collected for Dominica following the passage of Tropical Storm Erika.

On Monday,September 7, the containers with the supplies arrived safely in Dominica.

They were received by the Dominican Red Cross, which will handle distribution in partnership with the Dutch navy. All goods are given in relation with the actual needs of the population.

Serge Letchimy, the President of the Regional Council of Martinique thanks all volunteers who were involved in making the operation a success.

This is the right Association that should do the distribution. Sending things to the Govt. is always going to be distributed by their followers and let’s be serious we all know they will favour their followers. you would have to be quite limited to believe otherwise. The PM is trying to change his leopard skin which will end shortly. I am happy that all Reps are called, but we know few are chosen. I have not noticed the blogger who refers to her PM as Supreme leader and a God, but I heard her supreme leader saw “I cannot do it alone etc”, but I know my God can. My donation will go to the Red Cross cause my donation is for the good of all Dominicans. I maybe wrong, but there aren’t many partisan committees formed. There is just no real balance in this place, so I pray to the Almighty to spear Dominica from those coming storms
