DOWASCO customers are being advised to store water for domestic use in the event that the passage of tropical storm Bertha interrupts the water supply in various parts of the island.
Dominica and the rest of the lesser Antilles have been placed under a tropical storm warning which means that high rainfall may be expected within the next 24 hours.
DOWASCO will make every effort to maintain the supply of water to all residents however in the event of an unscheduled interruption to the supply every effort will be made to restore the supply in the quickest possible time.
DOWASCO again urges all residents to be vigilant in preparation for the impending storm and to ensure that water is kept in storage for domestic use in the event that the supply is interrupted.
istill they building nine tanks to watch us when rain is faling
The only thing DOWASCO can do for their customers is pointing out the obvious. Rather than being proactive and try to avoid to inconvenience their customers on an ongoing basis they keep on insulting our intelligence. A little rain fell last night and surprise surprise no water this morning. How can a company justify stupidness like that. To make matters worse they still charge us the standing meter fee. This company and more to the point its General Manager are hopeless. For years now he is preaching we do this, we do that but most, with a few exemptions, is just lip service. He is very good at talking the talk but no good at walking the walk. Time for him to go and get a young professional in its place that does not only sit around in the offices all day long!
