People this is just nature taking its course. It’s what you get for living on the edge of colliding tectonic plates. When the earth roared and shook and spit fire and earth to create the lands that we live on none of us were around. What makes you think that now that we’re here mother nature is just going to stop doing what she does?

A 4.9? They missed the 5.0. A few years ago, Toronto had a 5.0 earthquake and that was scary.
This afternoon there was a mini black-out in certain areas which affected the street lights. We have been experiencing a relatively, unusual good winter, occasionally high winds with little snow. It is stated that we will experience some high winds by tonight and some freezing rain. God alone knows what is waiting in store for us.

Are we taking note? The signs are there but it appears that Dominica is oblivious to all what’s happening and the warnings that we are getting.

Monkey? You must be looking at your reflection in the mirror. And tell me what is the good job your P.M. doing? Passport selling, phantom projects, and mass unemployment? You must be looking at the world upside down. Maybe you are one of the fortunate few who has a job so you saying the country sweet. Maybe you need to eat a bunch of ripe fig to put some commonsense in your brains. Try that

Wise people will discern the signs of the times and know that they point to the end of the age and the soon return of the Lord Jesus!

When the disciples asked Jesus ”What shall be the sign of thy coming :?: ” He told them the things to watch for. One of the signs was ”earthquakes, in divers places” in Matthew 24:7. There have always been earthquakes even in Biblical times. But we are seeing an increase in their frequency.

Then Jesus said there would be ”pestilences.” The word is in the plural form. These are strange diseases and there is an increase of them. They are new diseases we have not known until recent years. No sooner do get one under control than another appears. For some there is no vaccine, and no treatment.

Jesus told about many other signs that would show the end of the age was near in Matthew 24. We encourage you to read this chapter. Receive Christ as your personal Savior to be ready for His coming.

    Sincerely, Rev. Donald Hill…

Amen my Brother…..for except we repent we shall “ALL LIKEWISE PERISH”. Physical Rebuilding of Dominica is temporary until the next disaster. Spiritual build up is permanent and will last throughout eternity.

He who has ears to hear let him hear.

“we are seeing increase in their frequency”. see this is what spreading a lie entails – being outright dishonest about things you know most people will just accept without looking up. Statistics do show SLIGHT increases in frequencies of earthquakes in the PAST FEW YEARS but there have been always been increases and slumps in this frequency of earthquakes over the years. THIS IS THE NATURAL EBB AND FLOW OF THE EARTH.

There have always been diseases and if you understand evolution you will know why new ones keep appearing that we do not have protection for. In spite of all these new diseases we have yet to see another epidemic like that which happened in the time of the ‘Black Death’.

Imagine if it was a 7.9 earthquake that caused damage, who is at the Disaster Office to coordinate the response? The Secretary?

This is not an intelligent comment. You would also be included in it. If you reside in Dominica, it would affect you. You would not escape. Pray for Dominica and yourself that God may spare it for many more years to come.

And while you are saying that and preparing for earthquake fate is preparing one deadly blow for you, it will take you off guard. What you sow that’s what you reap, we see people suffering in unimaginable way, and we wonder why but its because of the things that come from your mouths. Pleasant day Mampee or mampo

I truly hope that our most dearly beloved prime minister is considering spending less time posing for pictures and handshakes with that Moroccan ambassador and spend more time focusing on the matters at hand like a proper relief plan for the Zika virus and earthquakes as we do not want to be caught off guard like in the event of Erika. Actions speak louder than words, but they also speak louder than pretty pictures too. Stop the picture posing and get to work. We need proper relief plans in place so we won’t be begging our neighbors when disaster happens. Running a country is not Photoshop with 200 tablets in the background. This is Dominica, not Depex color lab.

floridian diaspora it seems to me that you have nothing else to so than sit on DNO all day and post your Skerrit nonsense under every news item irregardless of what it is. Get a life or why don’t you come take the place of prime minister so you can do better. Comment on the matter at hand and not something which does not pertain to news article.

This person sounds like a boring one who lacks peace and who has nothing better to do and is in dire need of God’s blessing and graces. This person should commence fervently praying.

      Talk about taking pictures ….

Those Dominicans in the Canadian diaspora will smile at your comments because we have a PM in Canada who never misses a good photo op while our nation goes to hell in a handbasket :!:

However, we should pray for our PMs and respect their rule according to Romans 13:1-7, 1 Timothy 2:1-4, and 1 Peter 2:13-17.

The PM of a nation carries a heavy workload. What our nations needs is a Holy Spirit inspired revival of New Testament Christianity that will impact our homes, churches, schools, and communities, and help us get our priorities right.
