jemmot and bernard has done nothing significant for the developement of trade unions except for playing politics,
they are just like curtis augustus….. siding government when they have to be siding the workers

Oh Please, stop hating on the people and just congratulate. You never know, it may be your turn tommorrow and someone might say the same thing about you. These men and women have contributed to this country in one way or the other and that makes them worthy of their awards. Yours will be next.

We have no sports men or women who deserve a medal in this country? When Dominican teams do bad everyone have a lot to say,and when they do good everyone is quiet. Well if the top countrymen don’t show any interest in sports then what do you expect the kids of today to do?

Congratulations to each and every recipient/awardee.

We say thanks for having come forward in earnest service to this gem beyond compare. Accept this honour proudly in the spirit of partnership and unity – “All for Each and Each for All”.

As the latest recipients of our premier national awards for excellence in public service at various levels of the Dominican society, please accept your award as a token of our appreciation. You are being rewarded for your unselfish service, dedicated contribution and creative achievements in service to Dominica.

Through you, we celebrate the value and virtues of public service. We recognize your contribution to the development of our country and we are in debt of gratitude.

To the recipients who are long serving trade unionists in Dominica, you are urged to refocus on the true meaning of the award and use this as a source of inspiration and future guide of your thoughts and actions.

Hopefully, you shall respond wisely to the increasing calls for unity, professional respect and functional cooperation that is so vitally required among the leadership of our Trade Unions in forming a National Trade Union Congress that would better represent and serve the overall interest of the workers free of the incessant, petty, political bickering that continue to breed contempt among local union leaders and further undermine the best interest of our workers- the citizens of Dominica.

    Congratulations to you all.

    Respectfully
    Roseau valley

Well done Freddie!!! Very proud of you. Based on your contribution to music in Dominica as a musician, entertainer, music educator, preparation of calypso scores, producing, arranging and recording music, your humility to labour in the vineyard most times without the due monetary rewards and still smile, this honour is well deserved. Congratulations my brother and God Bless!!!

Those awards are all so highly political. Suck up to me i’ll make you popular and famous. Dem evangelical pastor and them fire bun all you. First money to fix church, now meritorious awards.Hush hush. What has Bill done to receive such an award. There are so many other pastors working hard. The ONLY thing this man has done is shut up his mouth to corruption and watch the country go down. If he was doing his work as a minister of the gospel i’m sure he would not receive this because there are so many issues in the land he should be speaking against and i know the powers that be would brand him anti labour. stupes

as i see it I would advise you to go read your bible and the first thing you would learn is that Spiritual person (Pastors etc) do not get into roro and that is all you want to see. Pastors and Leaders are commanded by the Lord to pray for the Nation and in so doing to pray for all Leaders of the Country “so peace will prevail in the Land”. The Pastor etc does not owe any man appology for doing just this, He/She answers to the Holy Spirit who leads them in all truth. So you want Pastor Bill Daniel to join you in your demonstration and hold placards and to side you if you say si and sa. Well bros/sis this is not so. I will direct to the New Testament of James and Peter and you will understand what peace of christ is and that we are all supposed to be at peace with each other and also to pray for one another. If we all in roro and also the Pastors, then who will pray fo rpeace in the land? Who will stand in the gap and to ask for forgiveness for all our sinless thoughts and et al. Well if we all in roro – demonstrating and going to court and being disgruntled and disatisfied about everything, then where are we heeding the words of the Father ” To give thanks and Praise in all” We cannot have our way all the time with the Spiritual leaders because although they are sinners too (u must understand) but they have to do what the Father commanded them to do which includes love all (no matter what political party, color, creed). One of their biggest duty is to look for the lost sheep and help them get back on track and to bring the Good News to the people.

Having said all this, I wish to congratulate Pastor Bill Daniel but as is already known, this award is from the Lord. God the Father and the Son is all powerful and mighty. Praise the Lord.

AA, so how comes Bernard Nicholas get a Sisserou Award and is only a Meritorious Service Award Jemmot getting?

Sisserou award not good for Jemmot then?

Quite frankly this whole awards business is becoming a big joke and a political tool.

they both dont deserve anything. remember they critisize civil servants for taking industial action in perro time… (trade unionist supposed to support the workers), and soon after gardakan did his worker the same thing that government did the civil servants, cut their pay for taking action.
guess who was the trade unionist that represented gardakan employees, bernard nicholas. and guess who that supported the government nicholas and jemmot…
letang did tell them that the cause is not for civil servants alone, but for all the working class
