Foreign dignitaries pay official visit to Waitukubuli Fuel Storage and Distribution Plant

For the first time since the inauguration of the Waitukubuli Fuel Storage and Distribution Plant, the four Diplomatic Ambassadors in Dominica paid a formal visit to the plant recently.

The Waitukubuli Fuel Storage and Distribution Plant, commissioned in June 2008, is a tangible expression of the integration and technical cooperation between the governments of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the Commonwealth of Dominica.

As such, the Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Carmen Martinez de Grijalva, collaborated with the General Manager Mr. Guillermo Lozza, and management of the plant to organize the visit.  The call was meant to further broaden the camaraderie among the Heads of foreign missions here, as well as to provide additional understanding about the operation of the plant and its contribution to Dominica’s energy sector and what it represents to the people of the Commonwealth of Dominica.

Present were H.E. Carmen Martinez de Grijalva, Venezuela’s Ambassador to Dominica, H.E. Wang Zonglai, China’s Ambassador to Dominica, H.E. Jose Marco Nogueira Viana, Brazil’s Ambassador to Dominica and H.E. Juana Elena Ramos, Cuba’s Ambassador to Dominica.

All of the foreign dignitaries toured the entire complex of the Waitukubuli Fuel Storage and Distribution Plant, as well as the new office building of PDV Caribe Dominica Ltd, viewed a video presentation on the work PDV Caribe in Dominica and were all presented with gifts.
