Gay website offers cruise to Dominica

A gay website is offering to one of its lucky clients what is described as a ‘lavish and exciting vacation’ to the Caribbean, with Dominica as one of the destinations.

According to the site massageM4M.com, the world’s largest gay male massage directory, the “All-Gay Caribbean Cruise” will include $1,000 airfare credit on American Airlines and will include destinations such as Grenada, Barbados, Dominica and St. Barths.

The cruise is expected to depart San Juan, Puerto Rico on March 17, 2012.

The winner of the cruise, who will be randomly selected on February 2, 2012, will receive a 7-night accomodation for two aboard a newly re-vitalized five star cruise ship in an Ocean View Stateroom complete with a balcony. The prize will also include all onboard meals and relevant port taxes.

The commentary on this thread is yet another example of why Dominicans are viewed by the rest of the world as ignorant cavemen. Some men love men, and some women love women. Get over it. If you don’t want gay marriage, don’t get one, it’s that simple. Don’t use your religion as an excuse, your bible is littered with contradictions. I love God, but what ignorant people such as yourselves say in the name of God, makes me sick. Grow up, Dominican locals: love thy neighbor (and let them go on cruises)!

Justice and truth you should know the truth. There are entire villages of primative Black Africans that have sex with boys and only mingle with the women to breed. And these religions are still there today and they date way back. I do not understrand thier ways but hear me now, they are Africans! and you are an African so maybe this whole issue is about you. I think you are afraid of your own desires. Just my point of view. Check yourself man and ask why you are so miserable. Sorry for you my dear, so much niceness in the world and you panicking about a poof, oh sorry a boat load of poofs. Leave them people in thier Comess and get a life. Shite man!

You should not even ask such a question. There is no comparison. While the pastor errs, this article addresses homosexuality.
What about a married man having a relationship with a married woman and vice versa or a single woman and vice versa? Can you not see the difference? Two men who are in a sexual relationship?

In March a entire ship of gay men will be in Dominica. Do you have any idea how much money will lbe spent on your island in 10 hours.
You really need to stop judging others.

  9. Justice and Truth
    January 10, 2012

Dominicans who oppose this cruise ship filled with homosexuals (and I wonder their children and adopted ones) should not allow them to land in Dominica. They should be turned back as other countries did. You have three months to prepare for this.
It is quite simple. Their money should not be appreciated.
My suggestion is that a peaceful rally be organized with relevant placards and when the ship lands, confront it and they will be prevented from landing. May the Police not interfere.
Due to their immoral lifestyle, these people are not bringing God’s love, blessing and peace on Dominica but His curse and Satan’s presence.
This is a warning to the government and those who support them. The eyes of Jesus are on you. Comprehend that God does not approve of homosexuality and never will. Woe to you who allow them in Dominica and reap off their avails of money. There is no place for the spirit of Satan in Dominica. It already has enough.
Keep the Holy Spirit of Jesus in the land of Dominica. Only then will it flourish and succeed as its nationals.
Let us see whose side the government and Dominicans are on, God or the devil and the almighty dollar. Money can be the root of all evil.

These comments are alarming, I spent 10 years in Dominica. And I saw Lesbians selling veggies at the market. Many gay men running establishments, A gay Pal rep, A mad man walking up and down Grand Bay in a womans dress and a very flaming gay young man in Trafalgar falls. And I must add that not one of them where bothering a living soul. I was mistaken to think that Dominicans loved thier Gay countrymen. In Jamaica they really do burn them, and all over the world Jamaicans are not welcome because of thier attitude on this issue. It saddens me to see such hate, I can relate to the disgust but if we are claiming to be Christian we need to examine how we treat all human beings. It is wrong to discriminate based on Race, religion, age, marital status, sexual orientation and so on. The Lord kept company with Mary Magdelan a prostitute, he did not condem her. I was raised in the Catholic faith I was taught the only unforgivable sin is to take ones own life. I have heard of many a Dominican drinking poison, pretty sure they called themself Christians? The point is Judge not less yee be judged. Who really cares who is kissing who in public? As long as it’s love and not hate it will never trouble me. I know many Gay people men and women they have contributed to thier community in so many positive ways. Maybe if you all could open your hearts and pray for them and get to know them, you as I could come to know that they belong just as much as we do. We are all Gods creations. The meak shall inherit the earth. Massachusettes USA has a openly Gay gentleman in Congress Barney Frank he has done more for his country than an entire village in Dominica has ever done for Dominica. Stand up for what you believe in but I suggest you learn your religion first then ask yourself if you are without sin, and you will discover that you have no right to throw stones. Peace and Love to all Jah Bless

Be enlightened. Love the sinner, hate the sin.
I recall when they were called “Miss” and “Queen”. :)
When I was a child I heard that one evening one of them was murdered in Roseau. To inform you how he was murdered would not be a good thing to state.
They are people and could be nice people. People are not really bothered that they are homosexuals because of their lifestyle. The problem is today they go public with it, flaunt it in public and expect the government to legislate it and that all of us should accept it. This is the problem and controversy. Do you get it?

      January 10, 2012

When these gay persons come to visit our shores they do not sell a gay package to our local persons. They have their partners and stick with them on the trip. So gays coming to Dominica to visit should not be any big problem. Dominica advertise itself as destination for all by saying ALL IS WELCOME. So are they not visitors too?

      • Justice and Truth
        January 10, 2012

        @ Dominican lady

Oh yeah? You call yourself a lady? Do you stand to gain financially by their visit? Think again.
All are welcome to a certain extent but not a cruise ship loaded with homosexuals. Why do homosexuals have to travel as a group? Why do they feel that they have to be prominent, travelling as homosexuals? What is their point?
You mention “welcome”. Will they welcome heterosexual people on board and religious people to travel with them? I bet not. Obviously, they have an agenda and are pursuing their agenda. Why can they not travel with heterosexual people? They travel together so they can carry on as they wish with their homosexual actions and no one will object. Do you get the drift?
Dominica is a Christian country and if DA’s are that Christo-centered worshippers and prayerful people, they will object to it and do something about it. The government should deny them entry.
For God’s sake keep them out of Dominica!

@ Justice and Truth: Actually, you’re responsible for creating gay cruises. Gay cruises happen because gays need a place to be accepted and talk freely with eachother. Since you and your fellow useless countrymen from Dumbinica are pretty open about not accepting them, they found their own sanction (totally normal human behavior). Would they let a religious person on? Absolutely. Would they let an ignorant, uninformed biggot on-board? No, you probably couldn’t get on.

the bible clearly condemns gay as sin maybe that is why those countries moral standards are so low but we should hate the sin and not the sinner pray for them and the only unforgivable sin are the ones you do not want to be forgiven its called the unpardonable sin according to yhe bible

Once out conscious clear and we know to ourselves that we are right with God and we not practicing buggary then let them be, who are we to judge, let the almighty Father do so. Dominica have more mako than you know so who gives a rat bottom if they come here, i will happily sell my merchandise to a faggot and treat them with respect as human beings as long as they respect me…money is money. @ Di Bus Driver

You make me laugh. I expected this coming from you a bus driver who is out solely for the business of making money and you do not care from whom.
Having stated that as I recall the recent drug bust in DA. I am wondering if you were given the job of transporting those illegal drugs for payment would you accept the job?
Beware, “Money can be the root of all evil.” This is encouraging sinfulness. If they were on a mixed boat cruise it would be acceptable and would not be so conspicuous. Being a cruise ship filled with solely homosexuals is another matter. Imagine 500 more or less homosexuals landing in DA and walking its streets hand in hand and kissing each other. These people have no pride and respect for themselves. Do you think that they will have respect for Dominicans? They will also be kissing and making out on your bus. Would you like that? Some of them may not have partners. They will not hesitate propositioning you, including children. They must be informed in advance that Dominica is not ready to accept them. This sort of action which is intrinsically evil will not enhance the life of DA nationals. This is a serious matter and why they should be denied entry to DA. Do you comprehend what I mean?

When they get here are they going to be paying cash? I will be offering a special gay tour on their arrival so everyone else who opposes the gay can park their buses that day. We have to learn to respect other people’s choices in life as long as its not putting other people in harms way or at a disadvantage. We should take all that hate for the gay and put it towards all that crime we have in Dominica, take a stand against violence, people thieving from the poor hard working people, shooting brothers and sons, selling drugs to our children, lets stand up and demonstrate against that. Instead we seat down on our BB, iphone, laptop and some of us in our A/C office more worried of a boat full of man/woman kissing each other showing love not hate.. really? On my tour I offering I will tell them most Dominicans oppose gays for their public display of affection and straight Dominican Men afraid to even hold their woman hand in public. SMH!!!

Homosexuals are coming out of their closets not only to corrupt society with their open, unnatural affection but to boldly expose their behaviour in God’s face, yes God, whose eyes goes everywhere beholding the evil and the good. God condemned this abomination in Romans 1:17-32 cause it is a direct insult to him, why because he created man in his image and likeness, his first intention for a family was a man and woman, and their purpose was to populate the earth. So having these people showing affection in public is going to upset every moral thinking person, whether young or old. Dominica stand firm on the decision to have these people stay away from your shores, in Europe where its acceptable, they do not find anything wrong in kissing in public and remember Dominica these affections are borne out of lust not love, another reason God destroyed Sodom and Gormorha.

If Christians, or Muslims or anti-gay religious people need to cast blame for people being Gay, then clearly they should blame their GOD, not natural born GAYS.
Personally, I hate the idea of people playing in poo-poo holes, whether is man on woman or man on man!
However, I know that the key reason for heterosexual SEX, procreation, is no longer paramount, so I accept the accompanying evolutionary change.
To me its not vastly different from the evolutionary change which is needed to deal with OBESITY . . . people have not accepted that shops, grocery stores, refrigeration and other forms of long term food storage should replace their bodies as food/fat stores!
Still, I hope that my young sons never end up with crap on their hotdogs or hotdogs in their craphole.
But I won’t commit MURDER or SUICIDE if that were to happen . . not even if GOD commanded me to!

      January 10, 2012

      @ Brad Carllisen:

What do you know about God? Are you a believer and worshipper?
God made babies. He did not make homosexuals. They chose the path because they do not care two hoots about God. They rejected him and his Ten Commandments and refuse to worship him. They allowed Satan to take over their lives. They are the ones to be blamed for their intrinsic lifestyle. Homosexual is sinfulness and an abomination to the Lord. If you have basic common sense you should know that or are you blinded by the truth. Your eyes and mind are veiled.
These people will cause the wrath of God upon the earth. Recall Sodom and Gomorrah. Therefore cease talking your nonsense which is aided by Satan.

      “quote”
You are another one who does not care how God feels. God wants us to stand up and be counted, to speak the truth in Jesus Name. Woe to those who do not care and who will welcome them. Time will tell as God will take care of them.
You may not be a worshipper. They are coming to Dominica on a cruise ship and they should be denied entry. Let them go elsewhere where they are welcomed.
God is not pleased with their homosexual lifestyle which highly offends him. We have a right to object also “for the love of God.”
God holds the key to life and death. He gives health and strength.
People expect to be healthy and to live long with no problems and they ignore God and encourage and welcome such people as homosexuals.
Holy Scriptures also tells us to have nothing to do with such people and do not even touch their garment.
It is not discrimination but that they are living such a life, Christians should have absolutely nothing to do with them and should not welcome them in their country and homes due to their lifestyle.
It is stated in Holy Scriptures, “What has God got in common with his enemy, the enemy of our souls, Satan? “
Our Lord Jesus Christ said, “He who is not for Me is not with Me and scatters.”
As St. Paul said, “This is why many of you are sick, infirmed and dying.”
Take the New Testament and search for this sentence and you know the reason.
The Word of the Lord will always remain until He has brought every one to His eternal justice/judgment.
God rewards the good and punishes the wicked. It includes those who reject him and live such intrinsic lifestyle until they die.

For those who wanna get religion involved, don’t. We’re all human and will be judged by God when he comes. My reason for saying this is because we all know of all the reports of priest molesting little girls and boys, pastors and preachers and their love affair scandals. I’m surprised that the Bishop didn’t make any comment about this one, but I’m pretty sure that if word comes out that a strip club is about to launch, we’ll get a written comment in the weekly papers from him. I can keep going, but that’s not the point. We all bleed red!

So that means senior citizens and barren people should not be able to fall in love and have a relationship either? They also cannot procreate. The Bible also says eating shellfish or having tattoos is an abomination, children who dishonor their parents should be put to death and a woman who is suspected of not being a virgin on her wedding night should be stoned to death. Are you willing to follow ALL of the rules to the letter, or will you continue to cherry pick The Bible to support your discriminatory beliefs? I am a God-fearing, Christian gay man and my personal life is a LOT more boring than your dirty mind would like to think. My Lord & Savior Jesus Christ never said one word against me. I am His child just like every other.

    Good morning,
I am yet to understand what is the problem with the ‘probability’ of two gay men coming to Dominica!
We got pedophiles coming here, murders coming here, drug dealers, pastors and their mistresses, money launders, thieves …what is the problem with gay people? Two adult men coming on vacation? What’s d problem?
I’d rather you be gay than a pedophile, than an adulterous pastor, than a thief, than a liar, than a rapist. Relax Dominicans! A taxi driver will make a day’s work, a family will be fed, and a child will be educated. I see no wrong in having a gay couple coming to Dominica! The more cruise ships @ out ports, the better our economy! Some of us would prefer Mexican drug lords!

This shouldnt even be news. The fact that it is news shows that dno itself is prejudicial against gays. To even run that story is pathetic. I am not gay and have no problem with any gays. Their life doesn’t affect ma and mine doesn’t affect them. It is not on me to judge anyone. People can live their life as they see fit, as long as it doesn’t affect me. Dominicans are too into everyone’s business that’s why stupid things like who is gay and politics and all that crap run their minds. How about announcing who is investing in Dominica next time? What foreigner is trying to open a new biz on the island? Give them some free promo?

What does the bible have to say about such sinful nations.

A good purging of peoples minds and attitudes are needed in every area of this society!!

I am a Muslim and homosexuality is strictly forbidden in Islamic law. We have the toughest and largest execution rate for gays in the world.

However, as a student of both Islamic and secular law as well as a Muslim I do not see what the issue is. If the guests/tourists want to visit our shores then what is the problem? They are human beings like everyone else, once they are respectful they are welcomed. People behave as if effeminate men have some kind of leprosy or something. Or, that homosexuality is some contagious disease you catch by looking at them. If we claim “religiosity” or to be believers in the Creator, our behavior towards them should be an inspiration to them that perhaps one day at least one of them may choose to give up the lifestyle. It is not for us to impose our ideals on them. Let us behave with civility, Allah/God will do the rest.

One may question Islam as to why such a harsh punishment towards gays, adulterers, murder etc. It’s very simple, we are a theocratic people and we have an ethical and moral code of ethics. Our punishment or admonition is not toward gays alone but to adulterers, gossipers, thieves etc. People who live in Islamic countries where Islamic law is applied ought to respect the laws of the land.

In short, leave the gays alone, let them come to Dominica once they are respectful.

If you are not gay why are you supporting gay and approving the cruise ship landing in Dominica, a Christian country? In fact the word is homosexuals and the practice of homosexuality. What is wrong with you? Are you a godly person? It appears that you are not. You should be aware that every one who supports, encourages and condones this abomination may never see the light of God’s Kingdom. Watch out as they age. It will not be gracefully. If you are not aware of that you are living in Satan’s darkness. Think again and twice and more than once. Pray to God for enlightenment, His blessing and graces which you are badly in need of.

I do not know what type of indoctrination you got but you are Oh so wrong. This is the problem when some of you renounce your Christian Catholic faith, beliefs and devotions. Those who teach you that all sin is one and the same lack godly spiritual enlightenment, His blessing and graces.
Sin is sin but there are various types of sin. One cannot be compared to another. All will warrant different types of punishment even in Hell. It is stated that there are various stages of Hell, according to the manner in which people sin. Bet you do not know that; never heard of it.
Consider the various sins as theft, vandalism, murder, sins of the flesh, adultery, fornication and homosexuality to mention a few.
There are some sins which Our Lord Jesus Christ will not forgive and there are others which He will not forgive.
To be forgiven, it is absolutely necessary to worship God, pray not only for oneself but for others, to make penance, sacrifice and penance. This also includes restitution for those who steal from others and harm them.
On the matter of what others as the pastors do, it is none of your business and does not apply to this article. Stick to the article, the nature of what which is written about, namely the cruise ship with homosexuals coming to Dominica. Support your other fellow Dominicans who disapprove of it.

    Oh grow up people!

Monserrat, Anguilla, BVI, Turks and Caicos, Cayman Islands and Bermuda all have decriminalised homosexuality and they have not become dens of iniquity and abomination.

The French and Dutch Caribbean never had such laws. And everyone wants to go and find jobs there.

Here in DA, women can bend down low in ‘G’ strings in the middle of Kennedy Avenue at midday on Carnival days surrounded by hundreds of people. And their men can ram and rub up their hard member where they want for all to see…..and that is OK.No probs.

Its the same hypocracy as when the Sexual Offences Act came up in parliament in 1998. The first draft made it an offence for a man and woman to have anal sex (even in the privacy of their own home). But do you know what those noble members did? They took it out in the second reading of the bill! Macho (not maco) Men again wanted to protect their delights!

They should have swept away the whole old British colonial law and simply made all sex between consenting adults over 16 years of age legal.

And Hey, its just another cruise ship. Many gays and lesbians arrive on the general cruise ships that come here every week. You all want to say: “Gays stay on board. Straights come on shore.” You want an international incident!

But I must remember. This is still a country where people believe in Soucouyant and Lougarou. Stay that way.

Accepting homosexuals or homosexuality? There’s a difference.

How many fornicators are going to be on that boat? How many adulterers? How many liars and gossipers and the list goes on….

Too many of us want to have a sense of selective morality, whatever is convenient for us at the time.

And as for the so called christian community, I would expect them to be using this as an ideal opportunity to spread the ‘good news’ to those of our visitors who may be in need of some spiritual ‘enlightenment’, if indeed you are truely ‘christian’…!

Maybe they spoiled the water at the Emerald Pool by paying the site fee and stepping into the water. Quick close the gates! Who knows, maybe there’s more on the way now. Oh goodness! They need to remain where they are, we do not need to add to the amount of aunty-man already in our country.

Poppers, and back-lashers stay out of my land, my country!

I mean we need to promote Dominica, we need to advertised Dominica as a tourist destination, however, we do not whish our country to be advertised as a heaven for homosexuals, and Lesbians.

That is immoral, it is outright filthy, and we all should protest any homosexual organization involving our country into their filth!

I am certain some Dominica Bull-popper may have invited them to come to Dominica.

For the love of money is the root of all evil, the homosexual may come to our country, spend some money to ravaged the flesh of some Dominica aunty-man, by the time they leave, how many Dominica aunty-man will be left infected with the aids virus?

So what are we gonna say now, “Oh yeah we really really want tourists here EXCEPT for _____, _____, _____ and _____ types of people”?

You people are judging them based off of ONE characteristic, and NOTHING else. Now THAT’S EXTREMELY judgmental.

And what if they were pushing for gay marriages in DA? BTW I do not quite agree with “typical dumbinican’s sarcastic comment. yes it is business like you said. Dominica is independent and needs to act more like it. I personally know of several Dominicans who are living overseas and are now openly gay. They were all gay in Dominica but too afraid of how they will be frowned upon if they came out the closet. My brother was born in Dominica and was gay all his life and it wasn’t till he moved to the U.S that he got out the closet….I would just like for Dominicans to be more open minded and accept others for who they really are.

Bring the gays in…more revenue, if you don’t like it don’t look at it…let’s express our selves freely.

    • Justice and Truth
      January 7, 2012

      @ tiny

This is exactly what they are pushing, traveling to the islands in droves on a ship. They have an agenda and it is to spread their abomination all over the world. It is already bad enough. Imagine them landing in Dominica and being on the streets of Roseau. They will be hugging and kissing and carrying on all over the place with no respect for others. This would be a disgusting sight. These people have no respect for anyone and not even the children.
It is only a matter of time and they will be pushing their abomination in DA and with a parade too.
Did you not read what the Minister stated? Go to DNO archives and you will find it, if it is still there. The government should not allow them to land in DA.
