‘Green Mile’ star Michael Clarke Duncan dies at age 54

Michael Clarke Duncan in “The Green Mile”

Michael Clarke Duncan, the hulking, prolific character actor whose dozens of films included an Oscar-nominated performance as a death row inmate in “The Green Mile” and such other box office hits as “Armageddon,” “Planet of the Apes” and “Kung Fu Panda,” is dead at age 54.

Clarke died Monday morning at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, where he was being treated for a heart attack, said his fiancee, Reverend Omarosa Manigault, in a statement released by publicist Joy Fehily.

Sad indeed, gone too soon. We have to be prepared, because we know that our time will come. When we are that young we usually don’t expect it so soon.

We got to watch the weight people. High cholesterol is killing us.

Let’s park those cars and eat more garlic, pawpaw, and fish. Drink young coconuts and ginger tea.

I am meat-free and can foods free. Since moving to Dominica, I have been able to decrease my blood pressure from 148/98 to 132/88.

I do not take any prescribe medication.
