ST. GEORGE’S, GRENADA, – The Government of Grenada has expressed to the seven students currently studying on scholarships in the Republic of Venezuela, its readiness to facilitate their return to home country, given the current economic and social challenges that the Venezuelan society is undergoing.

The majority of students, for now, however, have indicated a willingness to complete their studies, in spite of those challenges.

The Ministries of Education and Foreign Affairs are in constant contact with the students. Grenada’s Ambassador to Venezuela, Ambassador Hassan Hadeed, continues to visit them and provide the needed material and other support.

Moreover, the parents of the students have been fully engaged and kept abreast of the situation.

On Monday May 23, 2016, a meeting was convened by the Ministers for Foreign Affairs and Education to brief the parents and guardians of the students and to assure them that the Government of Grenada is prepared to take necessary action, at any given time, to ensure the well-being of the students.

The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela remains a friend and ally of the Government of Grenada and its people. In this regard, we are hopeful that there will be a peaceful resolution to the current political challenges.

Dear Ambassador Pirela. Your Excellency, they “concocted” this picture of a store with empty shelves in Venezuela especially for you. It really was a filmset made in a studio in Holywood, wasn’t it? You are too tragic to even laugh about. Best you stay in Dominica so you can go to Save a Lot to buy American and British goods plentiful with our little E.C. dollar that is worth fare more than your pathetic Bolivar. I will pray for you and your people.

Remember that miss Charles said that she is very proud of her friends in the cabinott.
so if there was real men in the govt of Dominica and special men in the cabinet of Dominica a statement would have been given already , but what we have in men in the cabinot.

Where is the voice of the government of Dominica on this important issue. Oh I forget they don’t have time they are too busy preparing for elections .I am so disappointed in these people.however if we hear of a crisis involving one of our kids in Venezuela (God forbid). You vwill see how fast they will run to talk pardon me read some crap written by their speech personnel to try and cover their backs.why do we have too wait every time for something drastic to happen before action is taken.why?

Where it the government of Dominica in all this? We haven’t heard anything except the Venezuelan ambassador taking his foolishness.

That government is really a square peg in a round hole. At least say something, so the people can show they care, but nothing.

    SMH.
