(DNO) The Haitian Apostolic in the Diocese of Roseau will commemorate Haitian Flag Day on Tuesday, with a Creole Mass at 3:00 p.m. at the Roseau Cathedral followed by a presentation of Haitian culture at the St. Gerard’s Hall.
According to Assistance Coordinator of the Haitian Flag Day celebration, Father Louis-cha-Lendore, Flag Day is for all Haitians which is being observed for the first time in Roseau.
“However, in the aftermath of the earthquake on January 12, 2010, it was considered more appropriate to scale down the celebrations in memory of their numerous victims of this catastrophe. To honour the memory of these victims, the Creole Mass will be preceded by a session of praise and worship,” he said.
