On Saturday, September 10, local designer and owner of Finesse Beauty, Kimara Matthew hosted her second major fashion extravaganza dubbed “Creole meets Finesse on the Runway.”

The event, held at Alliance Francais,  featured a wide range of Creole wear and other Creole-related items. A large number of patrons, including Melissa Skerrit, wife of the Prime Minister of Dominica, Roosevelt Skerrit, attended the event and reviews were good.

Very beautiful. Congratulations to the producers of this show; also to the models and patrons. This could become a multi-million dollar industry. Our very own Creole wear marketed to an international audience. Goes hand in hand with today’s natural hair movement. Worn with pride and dignity!

    Thank you.
