Information reaching Dominica News Online indicates that there is a landslide on the main road leading to Morne Prosper due to heavy rain.
The road is now impassable.
Motorists and those who utilize the road are being asked to exercise extreme caution in the area.
DNO will monitor the situation and provide information as it becomes available.
This is a problem in Dominica. Some of these roads which were built in those days are unsafe. Some are situated above the road and are made of dirt, rocks and stones. We do know that when there are heavy rainfall, storms and hurricanes they are prone to landslides and are dangerous. Even on a normal day, this could occur with rocks falling unto the road. If only those roads could be diverted elsewhere where there are no cliffs with rocks and stones. If possible, they should be blasted and made flat.
There is another entry/exit to Morne P dont tell me that is impassable too. Sadly once again the Watten Waven road is a lunar surface.

OOhhh, sorry to hear. That’s why Dr. Irving Mc not in office. So long I waiting.
We need to see some photos of it.
If the slope is unstable, the authorities should not tell people to be careful, they should not allow anyone through that area until they are satisfied it is safe to do so.
Fellow morne Prosperian’s be extremely careful. God Bless you all.

That’s why I believe a village should have more than one entry incase of a disaster one way in same way out its not good for the community
Were all the other entries and exits blocked or closed down? As far as I can remember there is only one way except you build a road to Delices.
