Under normal circumstances I would be on the side of the employer. However having suffered for many years from the way that LIAT frequently mistreat their paying customers I suspect that they have probably decided to do the same to their employees. However I do not include the LIAT staff and management on Dom as they have never been anything less than helpful in times of problem. It is worth noting that the only time LIAT had reasonable customer service was when Caribbean Star was a competitor.

Admin please help me and post this. I am on the road since Tuesday trying to get home from the BVI to Dominica. All I keep getting from LIAT is cancelled flights. I got as far as Antigua yesterday Thursday and had to overnight in Antigua because LIAT’s pilots decided that they were not flying to DOminica. Now it is Friday morning and LIAT boards the flight for which I hold boarding pass and they took me off the flight for whatever reason I have no idea. I have a child home waiting and expecting me since Tuesday and all I do is call her and give her stories why I can’t make it home because she cant understand me saying that the plane is not flying today…over and over again. I have always tried not to disappoint my child but thanks to LIAT I am now the mom whose word cannot be trusted.

ADMIN: Can you send us a number at [email protected]? We will contact you and get a full story to air your plight.

Good point to ponder the connecting pax will loose their tickets. What about compenstion talka insted of rubbing salt in pax wounds instead of giving a week to rebook. LI CEO do you know when this job action will be over?

while i sympathize with the affected passengers, pilots have their rights too just like people have rights to demonstrate or the Public have the right to strike action and if they feel aggreived, they have their rights to take industrial action. That’s why it is in the interest of management to maintain good industrial actions.

Why should people pay for rebooking when it is no fault of theirs why they were unable to get to their destinations? Bull crap!
